Nice NPT endorsement from the naked trader on the proactiveinvesters today http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/columns/the-naked-trader/16350/naked-trader-caution-is-required-near-highs-16350.html
Hi barclaykid, your dilemma reminds me when i was looking at buying Thomas cook about 2 years ago. I watched them go from 11p to 50p hoping they would retrace back to the 30's or 40's, that's when i would jump in. It didn't and i never got in at all! Kicked myself ever since but learnt a valuable lesson there. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! I know it's not as straight forward as that, you have to look at the fundamentals, and weigh up the future potential etc. With TC i think a lot of people including so called pro's thought they could easily go bust. But i don't think DXNS are in any danger of going under any time soon. I do think/hope these are going to be one of the stars of 2014. This is why i took the plunge this time and got in at 52p a week ago and again at 49 today. DYOR of course. Good luck. Bigrig
I would say to you do all the research you can on this company, don't make any rash decisions soley based on what anybody on here has posted including myself. My opinion is that no you have not missed the boat here. I think Omip being a relatively young company, has lots of potential to grow in the medium to long term. Again this is just my opinion based on my own research and (for what it's worth) my gut instinct. There are probably better qualified people than myself invested here who can give you more technical and fundamental reasons as to why you should invest here than i can. But at the end of the day it will be your decision. Good luck what ever you decide. B
If Mr. Buffett had invested here just a few months ago he would be sitting on almost 100% profit as i am. When this share has risen it has stayed up. No yo-yoing here unlike so many Aim shares. I am convinced Omip has much much further to go. No debt remember. Of course DYOR. GLA Bigrig
..will always be popular, especially for tv and increasingly the internet. I can see an explosion of streaming and download via smart phone and internet tv etc. Indeed it's already happening. I don't claim to be an expert in this field, but the media world seems to be geared up for exactly what OMIP is offering. Music tastes change with every generation, but you tend to see music always goes full circle at some time or another. I remember my dad making me listen to Chopin and Bach when i only wanted to listen to The Sex Pistols and The Clash! Now i love classical music! As for video, again with Youtube etc being ever more accessible through phones and tv, i can only see streaming getting huge, especially in the developing world. For me, OMIP have pretty much got an excellent product and strategy. It's just a matter of time before everyone else realises it!! GLA Bigrig
Hi to the new posters on here, great to see the word spreading ; ) Thank you Pete for posting those links, very helpful for new investors. Just wanted to say it's great to be a part of what i am sure is going to be a great success story. BUT..... i would like to let you all know i am fairly new to this game, so anything i post is based on research and gut feeling only, as apposed to 'hard experienced years of investing,' which i'm sure most of you have. I am of course referring to to my earlier post about there being a retrace next week. This is only an assumption by me so please don't base any of your investment decisions on my opinion. Do your own research.(which you all seem to have done anyway!) Phew!! That said, for any new investors here, congratulations in finding a 'little known gem' that is rapidly gaining notoriety. Make sure you check out the links posted by Pete. GLA Bigrig
Great to see the small rise today, much more to come i'm sure. I had the same idea in mind. But have had my eye on INCA for some time. They are a recommended buy from The Share Center. Done a bit of research on them and was convinced enough to buy into them today. They release their results tomorrow which should be very good. You may want to check them out(unless you already have of course!) Shall be keeping a close eye on OMIP and buying in on any dips. Though i think 9p is still a good entry point for this company. Thanks for the tip and link, i will have a good look tomorrow. I am aware of them but not done any research. Yeah i have some oil and gas shares( FOGL, ARG, CHAR, RRL, SER, PCI, and TOM). Only holding them in hope really, though i think they all have great potential. Not got too much invested in them and figure at least one of them will come good! All these come under my mistakes i mentioned! Cheers again for the MAGP tip, i'll do my 'savvy' research on them ;)
Thanks mate. Looks like we have BB to ourselves! (Hopefully not for much longer) Well i have never thought of myself as a savvy investor, but maybe now i will ;). Made some mistakes so far though, i.e., buying at the top price, then watching them sink!! But i suppose you learn by your mistakes. Did quite well with a company called Mar City, bought them about a week ago @ 4.1, sold them (or rather limit sell kicked in) @ 6.5 yesterday, so a nice 50% profit with which i'm delighted with. Anyway i'd also like to wish you the best of luck with your investments. Bigrig
