I wish to point out that we are drilling an exploration well, this means, as the pot head has said, we are not extracting, let us not get too excited about the share price. Further does anyone know if BPC has any rights to actual production, or extraction. I cannot remember if the present license gives production rights?

On environmental arguments, the UK are to ban the production of petrol cars from 2030. After 2030 no new petrol cars will be manufactured, yet those already on the road will continue to run. Thus I assume, petrol will last at least another 20 years! That being the case, the death of the oil industry is much exaggerated.
If for instance BPC is stopped from drilling for oil, then it's neighbor's, who are currently extracting will still be producing. That would mean that the much vaunted "disaster" could come from others. The case for a disaster is much overstated, thus the people of the Bahamas would lose their chance of oil revenue if the NIMBY (not in my back yard) brigade get their way. NIMBY's tend to be middle class people with an agenda that ignores the needs of th poorest in society,God hep us.

To newbies and oldies alike, do not get worried or excited about the share price. The sp will do what it will do. We still have twists and turns to go, we have the environmental thing to get over. We have to find oil, and in commercial quantities. We have to go to production etc. So leave the sp to do it's own thing, buy the dips, hold for the time YOU decide to profit and sell. DYOR GLAGH

Can anyone confirm the length of time to production, assuming that we find oil in commercial quantities? I think I am correct in saying, it will take two years from proving the well to produce.

Remember we have 45 days minimum, from the start of drilling before we know anything. I am not expecting results until some time in January.
