Gas Shortage12 Feb 2021 10:19
****stan's critical gas shortage and continued reliance on imported liquid fuels simply cannot go on, its only a matter of time until the right forward looking people realise this and actually put the process into action. Now that a policy proposal for coal-to-gas and coal-to-liquid development in ****stan has been submitted to the Ministry - hopefully now the wait will be short.
Development of coal to gas and liquid at Thar Block VI should be fast-tracked in order to address this critical gas shortage and continued reliance on overpriced imported liquid fuels. Now, the Ministry need to finalise this development - they are being urged to pull their finger out especially after recent lethargic impetus .
This will not go away - 20 million tonnes of coal for around 30 years will not just be left in the ground.
1,000 MMcfd of gas via the coal application!!!
And remember .....Block VI is the only coal block in Thar supported for coal-to-gas under the CPEC.
This will be going ahead.
