Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Did they mean to fill up the mine with nuclear waste once the resouces had been exhausted?
Good news indeed. They've just announced $1.25B in future sales- It's not bad. Better again is that two different companies are involved.
As for the SP today, Anything around 34.5p would be good and it really should form new support there at least.
It's been kicking aroung between low 32 and high 33 for too long.
First time in a while there's been some half decent volume,
We can but speculate but if they secure 3B in debt it really underlines the faith that a lot of lenders have in this project.
The speculative element is greatly reduced then in my view.
The SP appreciation will largely come in the lead up to production - this year further TorP agreements + Stage 2 debt financing and gov't backing could see this in the 70-80p range this year.
I have spoken and deal with many HSE officers. Don't discount the human stupidy factor in any accident. Common sense cannot be handed out like hard hats and hi-vis vests unfortunately.
As regards share price the accident is irrelevant. God forbid if a shaft collapsed during construction and trapped or killed people inside then you have a major problem. There will be workplace accidents during the construction and when it's in production. Such is life. Let's hope for those involved they are not serious starting with yesterday's.
Is it about $150 a tonne?
13,000,000 x 150 x .05 = 97.5M in royalty payments on the first 13M tonnes every year! That's cash in the bank
+ 1% of anything over that. That is a very good deal for Gina and if the mine hits the ground running she'll have made her money back in 3 years and 100M + every year thereafter on top of the 50M shares her company has,
Equity is all well and good but $100M or more per year for a long time is better.
What is the likely effect of the block listing on the SP?
Nothing mentioned this morning is any different to what was generally previously announced and expected.
The current SP reflects any work done till now and the confirmation that said work is being done.
Unless the government guarantee is announced and a significant TorP announcement then nothing much will
change.
Volume is still tiny when compared to the shares in issue.

This is more gold than Connemara will find in Donegal.

To sum up they found diddly squat as alluded to last week. I'm closed my position a week ago as I really couldn't see where any growth was to come from and this just undelines my doubts about the mining projects to bring about any sort of growth.
On what basis would it be 36p? How would you calculate that?
Not all shareholders will be in Sirius for the long haul. Most are there to make money whether it be short or long term and have no patriotic interest in what the company does once the share price moves in the direction they want it to.
General downward trend over the last few days - look at the dow today. Sirius is 3-4 years from producing a saleable product, It's logical it would be affected by wider concerns added to the lack of positive news for the last few months. Work is being done but that would be all planned and factored in.
".it's a pretty poor attempt at trying to worry others into selling and too.....to help their cuase if they ever held in the first place......." I sold my holding but certainly not enough share to make a blind bit of difference to the price. If you are posting here chances are you don't have enough shares to make a dent in the price and do you think people selling real or imaginary shares would encourage more here to do so and somehow force the price down because they've shorted it or want to get in cheaper? Hardly.
Better to express it precentage wise. 2p isn't much if it's AstraZeneca but 2p on a 34p share is significant.
These are call options - as in bought by the ex-employee so raising funds for the company. If his missus wants a new kitchen built then she'll be waiting.
1.6m sold is a fraction of 1%. There is no news to feed off. That's the only reason. I'm sold mine 10 days ago for that very reason. Lack of short term news would lead to the shareprice drifting but I'll be back because there will be news and it will most likely be good.
Trending down a bit, might get to 32p but no cause for alarm if you're long on this.
