At present, the dollar is very strong. Will this have an effect on Beximco’s earnings or not? I’m just wondering why this share has drifted down from about £1.30 ish on no bad company news.

Yes, I had some of these when they were SOCO and sold out for a small loss after a run of poor results. They were a £1 or so then so I’m glad that I did but now, with the price down here, things look a little different. Western countries like the U.K. have gone out of their way to afford investments in fossil fuels, despite still using it and this makes things look interesting.

Tempted to buy in here. Broker consensus is showing a eps for 2024 of 13p/share. Very impressive if, if, they deliver.

Morning Edward, yes if they can declare 10p for the next interim you would to think at least 25p. EPS currently £1? So this is also on a PER of just under 3. Nice.

These are taking a pasting despite reporting good results only a few weeks ago. Anyone read anything that may explain the fall?

I think these and LAS would have risen more is the dividend had been higher. 10p on 100p eps is nothing to get excited about.

Surprising that LAS are down slightly.

I guess that the electricity price is the worry here. Although it’s worth tempering that Carclo have factories in other countries too.
