I’ve come to the conclusion that eventually Newcrest will takeover Greatland gold and those that are patient and wait until the end will be rewarded with shares in Newcrest.

We will either prove up or get rid of the projects that are not worth our time and when all the work is complete we will be valued and Newcrest shares will be issued.

All my own personal opinion of course.

Does that sound feasible?

If Newcrest want to own 40% of havieron they need to spend $20m in the first 24 months, that means an average spend of $833,000 per month.

Let’s assume that they have spent nothing in the first month, that means the average goes up to $869,000 per month for the next 23 months

I think they had better get cracking!

I don’t believe in the codes i just believe in the odds that an RNS drilling update has to be reported very soon which is why i bought this morning and it seems i got my shares at the bottom price cos now they are on the rise.

Given the fact that Howard White flew to Indonesia and then on to Japan i wouldn’t be surprised to hear the news we’ve all been waiting for.

The next couple of weeks could be very interesting indeed and i’m now fully loaded in shares in anticipation

Just reading through the RNS about the farm in with Newcrest and it struck me that Newcrest have to spend a minimum of $5m rising to $10m to complete stage 1

What will they be spending that money on?

Greatland have already drilled as far as they could go so initially Newcrest will do some more drilling but there is no way that will cost anywhere near $5m

I’m wondering if Newcrest are going to begin constructing an underground mine and as the costs rise so does their entitlement to the tenements resulting in a fully operational and money spinning operation upon completion

It’s the only thing i can think of that would cost so much money unless somebody can explain where all that money is going to be spent

What’s the betting that the share price will rise sharply when everybody gets their new stocks and shares ISA allowance?

It wouldn’t surprise me if the MMs are deliberately holding back and accumulating cheap shares until the new tax year before letting the share price fly to make a big profit.

Only wish i wasn’t already maxed out or i would have filled my boots at these prices!
