Anyone had their funds returned to them yet?
"Transferring shares to an ISA from a SAYE plan. The ISA allowance for 2023/24 will remain at £20,000. Special rules apply to SAYE plans that mean that participants putting their shares into an ISA do not pay CGT on the transfer or the later sale if they are transferred within 90 days of exercising the option."
From the website
https://equiniti .com
"You'd have to sell and put the cash into the ISA and then re-invest. In specie transfers aren't allowed."
With Company / Employee SAYE (Save as you earn) Schemes, you can transfer them into an ISA within 90days of the completion date (Up to the limit you have left within the year ISA amount)
As its a SAYE scheme these are allowed to be transferred into an ISA within 90 Days from the date of your share certificate, and if you sold it from your ISA, no CGT would be applicable
If you sold them straight away, you would get the funds gross, so would have to fill in a self assessment form for the 23/24 tax year declaring the gain and would have a bill from the UK government at some point for the tax owed.
hope that helps
Just hope one day I check this share and we have some sort of positive news pushing us back up. But todays not that day.
Is there some sort of hope, as we've had no real news on recent price movement that there's talks going on in the background and open discussion about the low price is a no no?
Been in here nearly 10years with a 16p average.
Most of that time, happily been sitting above it. quite nervous about this now. I'd personally snap up 40p a share.
Might show more about my own portfolio being too heavily sitting with Solg.
Ow well, I'm still in it for the long haul
OK, I've never had something like this happen to me. so a quick question
I currently own 500 shares, with todays news can someone confirm this is what will happen to my shares
Divi = 500 * 14.7p = 73.5
Return of funds to share holder = £500? but Aviva remove 125 of my shares from the Market?
thanks for any help
You'll probably not find the figure, as the final sentence "..the directors believe that further disclosure will be seriously prejudicial to future developments on this matter"
Having any accrual means they believe its going to cost them, I doubt they want the market knowing how much they think its going to be. But if its anywhere, it'll be in the 2019 reported financials
Personally 33, been here since 2013. I'm indifferent on either option. We sell in the next 18months gives me a nice stash to put into some (hopefully) divined paying stocks, if we build the share will in itself become a decent divi
Loving the chat this morning, enough so i thought id actually join in for once
On the new shares, if my maths are correct that still would be around a 194k loss.
Long time lurker here, invested with both SOLG & SXX
SXX still has risk involved with itself, some of the main risks being building a mine on time and in budget, stage 2 financing (+ an extra 400-600mil)
Potash itself isn't rare (I don't think), however the POLY4, which is what SXX will be selling has been proven and still tested and is showing to be a better product that potash. SXX will have low op costs compaired to other potash mines once built.
IM by no means on top of everything SXX, but the belief from many on their board is once Stage 2 finance is agreed to biggest risk is sorted (should be Q1 2019)
Hope that's some useful info
Smart tax move, make a loss (gains relief I believe) and puts it into an ISA, where the gains are tax free.
its a normal Bed and ISA move
I'm hopeing its all going ok, there just bad at giving news out on the projects thats my hope, as i bought in at over 6p you live and learn, lol
ANyone mind posting the jist of the media? - at work and cant watch thanks in advance
Depressing to watch! If there was news regualry i'd hope this wouldn't happen, but wishing doesnt make it so!
Probably not, from what i understand they've done afew drills, not found what they are looking for but believe they know where it is and also intend to drill into the open pit down another 550m to test levels below it So, atleast we've been given an update
Wow, we have some news to talk about...
