The Board of Faroe Petroleum plc ("Faroe," "Company," "Board"), the independent oil and gas company focusing principally on exploration, appraisal and production opportunities in Norway and the UK, acknowledges receipt of a request from DNO ASA ("DNO") that a General Meeting of the Company be convened for the purposes of considering a shareholder resolution to appoint Bijan Mossavar-Rahmani, Executive Chairman of DNO, and Bjørn Dale, Managing Director of DNO, to the Board ("Proposed Resolutions").

The Board believes that the Proposed Resolutions are wholly self-serving and are part of an undisclosed strategy on DNO and Mr. Mossavar-Rahmani's part to try and gain control of Faroe's business without making an offer to all shareholders at an appropriate premium.

I spoke to Ben Proffitt earlier this month and he said EXACTLY what you are saying!
I was wondering if you are he! haha! I know you are not ... but ... great minds etc!

Wow.

I have been here for three years and have suffered many lows and the occasional high. I have an average of 1.55 ... which at one stage was awesome. Now it's just "great" as I still may get my money back.

Many have lost a lot and some STHs are gloating on their "winnings".

As an LTH, we have been let down time & time again ... not necessarily by the BoD (but occasionally!) ... but by the system.

FINALLY, I see a glimmer of light and if it's to believed,I will be at parity!

Let the traders and STHs take the profits and let's see what happens ...

When the going is good on AIM - it's great ... when the going is bad - it's a disaster!

of course, the obvious ... BUT I would like to know if there is a fundraise on the cards pre-decision/announcement.

I would hope with the USD250K per month payments, this would negate the need for one ...

BPC was speaking to a few parties before the "exclusive" ... so I can imagine basic terms were already thrashed out - I mean all the data has been out there for quite a while - so it's terms and politics.

This would be a BIG deal to BPC, BG and the counterparty ... so everything needs to be airtight. No need for rush ... all sides have until the end of October.

I do question why the CEO would agree to an interview now ... so some crumbs of news will be forthcoming one way or t'other.

Obviously I am hoping for positive news - I do feel that the time is right for all three parties and the price of POO is fluctuating in an acceptable way ...

Any investor can contact BPC to arrange a chat with someone from the company ... usually someone like Ben Proffitt (FD). The company is quite amenable in this way.

They NEVER cross the line with information but have been very helpful with questions re: EA, 2D/3D scans and "general" information ...

For those who are being negative rather than positive or at least passive ...

There is a share that in the past few days has tanked quite spectacularly ... and I mean ... from Heaven to Hell in a day ...

A 0700 RNS yesterday announced a "telephone conference call" and the Moons of this world predicted "famine, pestilence and general manure" ...

Guess what ... a later RNS and the share shot up 143% ...

My take is ... we cannot predict what is/will happen so STOP trying to!

There have always been two tracks:
1) partner to share
2) do it themselves - fundraise etc

1) was always the preferred option. The crash in POO put pay to that. There were potentials but they fell to the wayside ... all the scans were done and were fabulous BUT the POO did not make the project viable ... so 2) was the only option

Suddenly, POO is up and is expected to improve further and further ... and all those potentials started talking and ONE is now the front runner.

Also, the BG was not up for this project ... but a new administration, HUGE debt, unemployment and a drop in tourism has meant that oil exploration is now not only acceptable but necessary.

No need for more scans and the EA is a red herring (i.e. not necessary to move forward) ...

it's all good .... one way or another. If no JV then Banks will lend on the "product" as the 3D shows 25 - 35% chance of success when drills like this are usually 10% ...

agree totally with AST ... no so much with Hvivo ... it's a fine product and two hungry investors ... although that share does depend on "one" piece of news and we have a plethora here ...
