Hi Ho Silver (sorry!) This distribution has been previously announced and is baked into the current share price. After the distrbution has been effected then the valuation of the continuing UK business could be around 60pps. Judging by the optimistic Outlook statement this could be a hefty high yielder. The time scales for all this to happen are so extended the market can't work itself up into a flurry of excitement. I'm long as I am buying 2019's divs now. HSTN can stay in the ISA until paayday, and maybe 8% yield.
Mail on Sunday had tipped g4m in the past and this weekend they adivsed readers to take profits.
Candidate for understatement of the century!
No probs M_B I hesitate to recommend funds but if you want something different take a look at Phoenix Group PHNX. This link describes what they do. I think you'll find the yield appealing and from the current level I can see a capital gain to boot! Disclaimer: I own a few thousand quids worth of PHNX. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/investing/article-4099368/SUNDAY-NEWSPAPER-SHARE-TIPS-Phoenix-Group-AO-World.html Best of luck with whatever you decide. Hello Mr_Benn Here is Burford's quick description of their business model. It doesn't sound like the kind of thing you'd be interested in. About Burford Capital Burford is a leading global finance firm focused on law. Our businesses include litigation finance, insurance and risk transfer, law firm lending, corporate intelligence and judgment enforcement, and a wide range of investment activities. Burford's equity and debt securities are publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange. We work with lawyers and clients around the world from our principal offices in New York and London. For more information about Burford, visit www.burfordcapital.com Hope that helped! So what they do is select litigation where huge sums are involved. They help finance the 'side' they think will win and if they are right they get a fat slice of the winnings. Another trick they have is that if it looks like they are going to win they will sell on their interest in the litigation (at a discount) and reinvest their profits in the next case. Regards, Mike the Scout

dc FYI at the 23rd Oct the net short position on OPAY was 0.67%. This skeleton in the closet comes at an ideal time for shorters to close their positions, especially as the ftse250 beckons on March.
Someone has dragged up allegations of personal data breaches from the Neteller days.
Are they really going to publish the accounts on a Saturday? Distinctly odd.

I've bought 180. I believe the selling is on the back of this report about public smoking being banned in China:- http://edition.cnn.com/2014/01/09/world/asia/china-smoking-ban/ There is a general feeling that health fascists are succeeding in driving the habit underground. The shares are likely to be about 2135p when they trade XD on Wednesday which looks really cheap to me.
Congratulations to the BoD and all at OMIP

These shares have undergone a 20:1 consolidation. The company recently raised capital via a placing which involved c89% dilution for existing holders - in short, Superglass has been a car crash. The rise in earnings in the 2nd half has been stunning. Only downside is the "steep learning curve" bit. My 1 yr sp target is now 410p on earnings of 29p and a pe of 14. Fingers crossed.
37% rise on the Canadian opening price. Bound to be short term profit taking on the LSE but the future looks exceedingly bright for this minnow.
It appears that Rambler received permissions for Nugget this evening as the stock is soaring in Canada. At the time of posting the shares were trading 0.7 - 0.75 up 27.1% and only 13,000 shares are on offer at 0.75c.
