Avacta are a manufacturer who have a test targeted at this emerging market. They don’t need to do anything other than take orders. HMG are talking to Avacta. If they want them, they know where they are. Elsewhere, they’ll sell a load.

Deeks and co are still comparing PCR results (Covid status) to LFT. Let’s be clear, you could still test positive for Covid and NOT be classed as infectious. In fairness to Orient, their 60% sensitivity is not the headline. Rapid LFT’s are to prevent spread; they are designed to isolate infectious people.

I realise most know this, but worth sitting back and viewing objectively. The next phase of PR will push infectious testing as the basis for green light, test to release.

Avacta just happen to have the highest performing, non-invasive product.

Real world clinical validation will hold water soon enough. My hope is that any new protocol to be passed, makes real world validation mandatory. Yes, this takes longer, but the advantages are binary.

This is why Medusa excites me. They’ll go hard with the PR. UK designed, real world validation, 100% infectious, Non-invasive etc…

iPhone - agree. They will not care. Validation methods are scientific, based on design criteria. Our test is designed differently, simple as that.

Safebreaker - My assumption is the that they’ll be manufacturing the Vatic developed Knownow test. This is a UK developed saliva based swab antigen test. It’s been bubbling away in the background for a while now.
