Exactly Wilko, seen this so may times II's want to get the shares as cheap as possible, they'll drag it down as much as possible, then pump in unexpected. Just games.
Just now it went from 107.65 straight to 109, yet barely any trades, under 20,000 shares. How's that work? II's building?
City boys will probably still double down on MOON to try prove they’re not wrong. Even when they are. Obsessed with TECH. Pretty funny really
Got it, so you can buy now and get the divi, however the likelihood of it dropping by the same amount of the divi then just counteracts it. So counter entutive, however the prospect of long term hold then makes it much more viable.?
Thanks Neil, appreciated
Evening guys. I’m mainly just a gambler, though I know a good company when I see one, and gets the basics, also from Shaky Wakey! Originally bought at 40p, sold, and got back in at 91p about a month ago.
Could someone explain to me as a dummy on this….but how do dividends work in terms of, do you have to had the shares for a certain amount of time before eligible etc?
Or can anyone just jump on now, buy, and be eligible?
Let's hope they do a 'spell check' on the RNS before release. It can be the best results ever, but they'll probably find something for it not to be!
We'll soon find out. That would be a moist dream Monday night, if they ploughed it into CARD instead!
City snobs are obsessed with Tech. If they actually went out into the real world outside of London they might actually notice things like CARD, take it in, look around, observe.
A third if not half the inside of the stores are gifts and other celebration items now with higher margins and growing basket price. I actually thing their 'Brand Name' doesn't do it justice anymore. Suggests just 'cards'
However with a growing online presence as well the future is very bright. I wouldn't even class MOON as a serious competitor, they have an online ceiling IMO.
Over a 1000 stores, with a virtually integrate production and distribution, and growing online presence, it's no wonder the big boys dumped £25m of MOON shares yesterday.
£25m share sell off. Thought there must have been a RNS or something, but no?
This feels, more than just a lead up to results??
106p for big breakout
All aboard the Card train…Choo Choo
We all love gambling, that why we are here :-)

Becoming a little obvious this is being kept at the under 96p until they wade in

Thanks Onsolid, considering as well February was one of the wettest on record, effecting footfall in retail, it's performed well. Sounds like they were all in Weatherspoons from this morning results :)
Bodes well all round! Think just some positive news and highlighting Retail will help. Cheers
I wondered why there was a boost in trades yesterday
Telegraph - Retail sales beat expectations as hopes grow for end of recession
Retail sales defied expectations in February and dodged a predicted fall, in a boost to hopes that the UK returned to growth in the first quarter of the year.
The volume of goods bought by shoppers last month flatlined at 0pc, ahead of market predictions of a 0.4pc fall.
Meanwhile, the already strong sales figure for January was revised higher to 3.6pc, from 3.4pc.
