What are the TG actually doing and saying. It’s time shareholders were brought right up to speed and that doesn’t mean rubbishing the TG just tell us how it is.

Other than wishful thinking is there any specific reason June will be any different to March, April and May (assuming that the latest timeline on the website is as meaningless as all the others)? I dearly want to hang my hat on some indication, other than the passing of time, that this is happening sooner rather than later. At this moment in time though, when asked by my 3 shareholding sons when this will happen I have no answer.

This has to happen as, apart from KIBO, it would be a complete disaster for the TG if it doesn’t. They would effectively be saying that they can’t or won’t pay a fair price for electricity which means no one will even attempt to provide it for another ten years. Plus they will have wrecked relations with SEPCO, GE, The BR project and given a massive negative message to the wider business world. The TG cannot let this slip away.

I think we are way past the idea of charm cutting the mustard. We have to be talking actual delivery of PPA by AGM.

Although nothing of any note in the tweet itself I find the idea that there was any need for it somewhat concerning. Just plain weird.

Boffer - I suspect that my summary is close to the views of many/most here and is not intended to be contentious but realistic. I am a supporter of LC and KIBO and have a huge vested interest in the MCPP coming to fruition. I am extremely unimpressed with the Tanzanian government but will love them and LC to bits if this becomes a reality. I am not entertaining that it will not at this stage but have always believed this a red/black bet with way better than even odds.

I think a summary of where we are is: 1. LC is as frustrated as anyone else (although this is tempered by at least knowing exactly where we are). 2. Our strategic partners will also be wanting/demanding that this happens sooner rather than later and LC will be acting as mediator with these as well as Tanzanian govt. 3. LC and TG cannot tell the world yet another time that there are further delays and issue yet another random target date so we are awaiting definitive news. 4. Even though it feels like it, this cannot remain open-ended forever so we will shortly (between today and end of June, July, August) know whether we have PPA and SML or not. Like everyone else here I am finding this hugely frustrating/annoying but will continue to suck it up in the belief that I will be rewarded 'handsomely'.
