I disagree Boffer. It should be an easy question. Either they are looking for the tender process to provide all the power they require for now or they don’t. Its difficult to come up with a more binary and simple question.

I wonder when the company will receive clarification on the question as to whether the tender process replaces or adds to the 300MW process already underway and awaiting a PPA. It’s not a difficult question.

I will join you on the plane Wimbo. If we give away 15% of the business to SEPCO for 5p a share it will be time to sell up. That would be worse than recent placing levels and would be a pointless exercise other than being a large placing with massive dilution. SEPCO stand to make some serious dosh if MCPP and other projects go through. The MCPP happening means they are already guaranteed large construction revenues and inceeases the chances of the same for Bots and Moz. They need to stump up for that.

The current choice appears to be a contract possibly agreed after the government have exhausted every procurement process possible and probably quite a few more years or no contract.ar all. Not a great choice. Judging how the president has just ridden rough shod over the environmental problems with the dam project it must be about time that he sacked all his ministers again and dismantled Tanesco. The biggest risk factor here was always the in-country one and that has certainly been borne out time and time again.

It is completely about Tanzania but KIBO will either be the beneficiary of the outcome or the loser. I have been banking on LC's business acumen and his relationships in Tanzania and Southern Africa in general. I continue to bank on these and if that faith is rewarded by KIBO delivering then the message which will be given to 'the market' regarding other future prospects will be massively positive.

Mike - At present, for me, this remains all about MCPP. I would welcome the other projects starting to show some value in the SP but at present they remain part of the future and not the present. I don't think anyone should underestimate the effect on sentiment if SEPCO and therefore, probably by definition, the MCPP is a no go. KIBO will then be asking investors to believe they can get another IPP across the line with a very recent history of failure (regardless of who's fault). Whichever way I look at it, and others have completely valid alternative views, its MCPP or bust.

I don’t think we know definitely if there is just the 300MW live or whether the original 300MW PPA process is running concurrently.

I have been trying to discover whether the SEPCO buy-in is dependent on either or both of the PPA and SML being in place. My understanding now is that it definitely is not. We should also remember that Nov 30th is back stop date, i.e. that SEPCO could buy-in at any time before that.

I expect everyone who has already looked through will be sacked and replaced with a new team so that there is another reason to delay.

I received the following from St.Brides on Sept 18th. ‘As I understand it, the pre-qualification process is not by default a deviation from the unsolicited project process that TANESCO and Kibo engaged in but rather an expansion of the existing process which may provide Kibo the opportunity to add a further 300MW to its current 300MW portfolio for Tanzania. Kibo will however only have clarity on this after receiving a reply to the clarification request referred to in the RNS’. Has this question been answered yet? I certainly would still like some clarification.
As soon as the Company has further clarification, it will update the market again.

The tenders were being opened 'in public'. If so why is this not evident?
