Hi Donald is not very popular in Poland is thinks the EU is the bees knees. The people of Poland saw through him and he was nowhere to be seen at the latest elections because he had no chance of getting the president’s job which he wanted. Yes he does not also believe in the demo will of any people who vote against the EU. I travel around 3 countries so I see all the different aspects and they are the UK then China and then Poland. I live in the UK and China most of the time do I see all different aspects of the political world. Just ask the polish people where would you sooner be and they would all tell you that they would never want to go back in time
It cannot get any worse for CNA but if it gets relegated you think it would give the board a wake up call. They should never of let Mr Conn dictate to them the day he will leave the company. They should have just dismissed him on his performance like all other managers in CNA . They just papered over the cracks short time which is giving investors no confidence. Yes I’m a large share holder also and I was also in a senior position until I decided to walk away. This is the best decision I have ever made though the worst decision I made was not selling all my stocks. We all learn by our mistakes so I have now to keep my holdings long term whist the dividend is also dropping through the floor. Just my option but this guy has cost me a large amount of money whilst he still picks up his bonus.
Hi read the accounts in detail the home service side of the business makes a profit. The hive part of the business or call it the technology side of the business we’ll never make any money in my eyes. The reason for my thought on this is Centrica can not compete against the major tech stocks in the world. If the dumb Mr Conn thinks they can he is in dream world by the way he cannot do much more damage to the business
It’s only Lloyd’s registered office that is in Scotland, the main office is in London. Also Lloyd’s did inform the Scottish government at the time of the last referendum. If the Scottish people voted to leave the uk Lloyd’s would be moving the registered office to London so the Scots know this.
It’s all down to the CEO and the board they have run the company downhill for the last 3years. I am still in contact with some of my ex colleagues @ the company in senior positions and they despair at the way the company is being run. All the memos they get from the top are a load of rubbish and the CEO has no idea. When the company started the downhill journey the CEO should have been dismissed on the KPIS that he has failed to deliver. We all had KPIS that needed to be delivered anyone else with poor figures usually got dismissed under the management of performance structure
Hi one of the rating agencies re rated Greggs to a sell so this will have a negative affect on the share price
Hi it was a regional German government that bailed condor out where it is based. This airline makes a profit so it was a safe hedge for the regional government. The second largest french airline failed this weekend with no bailout from the French government. Even where mine and my missus business is based the government will not bail out badly performing business and our business is in China
Phil Bentley left Centrica because he was told he would not be considered for the CEO’s position. Look at what he achieved at cable and wireless he is also turning things around at Mitie group now. He was hard to work for and with but Centrica would never been in the position it is now under his stewardship. I myself did not like him but he knew what he wanted from the business
Conn was such a very bad appointment because he had never been a CEO before this appointment. Everyone can see why he never reached this crazy level before and the results show this. 18 CEO’s have been removed from their position in 2019 up to now and this is the highest figure ever. So the board must also take a fair amount of blame because you could see this over the last 4 years. It reminds me a little about a telecommunications company called Marconi who moved away from the companies core business and it plummeted and the share holders lost every. I just hope that CNA does not end up in that position but whilst Conn is in position it could happen. The reason being he has it in his head he is doing a fantastic job just ask the staff and they will tell you how badly the company is being managed now. Pack your bags and disappear Mr Conn then CNA might have a chance
The only people yo blame or Mr Conn and the senior management. The analysts and banks do do drive the price down by themselves. The rating agencies and market analysts look at all the companies fundamentals and major there own judgement on its future and the directions that the company is heading towards. In my eyes until Centrica get shut off Mr Conn no one will have any confidence in this business. The number of FTSE 100 CEO’s losing their jobs this year is at a record high. Mr Conn wants to sit in place until next year hoping to get another large performance rated bonus and another year on his fantastic pension plan
Conn received some share options and the staff who have share save it all depends on the price of the option at the start of the plan. If they had signed up to the 3 year plan the price will be around £2 a share they are only 73p now. I would take the money because the plans pay good interest and invest it somewhere else
Always do plenty of research into your companies that you r interested in. Some one told you to have a diversified portfolio that is the best way to go. Oil and gas market stocks can be very volatile with good profits are in a lot of cases very large losses. Read up on Warren Buffet though it’s very interesting
Hi there are still plenty of good companies out there to invest in. What people say is correct on the StockMarkets prices can go down look at Apple it dropped down to 150. Then capital gains tax on your profit is the issue with US stocks though
