RE: I don't get it24 Mar 2021 11:18
From the recent RNS and my email with FG I understand:
1. Serbia mining will be brought back to operation, with potentially some server upgrades, as outlined on the FG podcast. FG seems to be a very intelligent man, he will want to quickly get this facility up and running to start generating some revenue.
2. In parallel, a new 'green' facility is in the pipeline, with most likely hydroelectric energy generation to reduce mining costs. This I assume will also be set up in the near future.
3. My grasp from the podcast was AI coupled with blockchain mining is further down the line, however forms part of the medium to long term strategy.
4. According to previous RNS they are looking for a 3rd party to contract with and run mining operations. This is a massive plus point as we would have a contract with liabilities, and they could also be responsible for the on-going operations and maintenance of the facility- hands off approach allows us to work on focus on AI developments.
5. The fact that Serbia is a porter cabin as so many posters allude to, doesn't bother me. Why would you lease / rent expensive office space when you can mine in a porter cabin. If your think about this more thoroughly it would be easier to connect green energy sources to porter cabin set-ups rather than buildings in heavy populated business areas :), and at a much quicker pace too. :)
FG knows if mining activity can commence sharpish, that will generate revenue and allow further investment in AI, green energy and other aspects of mining which could take CLP to a whole new level!!!
