Put into simple terms, a HGV vehicle has far more cylinders compressing the combusting fuel compared to a small diesel car. That is why a HGV will only cover 8 -10 MPG needing a 100 gallon fuel tank. So no matter how much fuel or gas you have, it can only pass through the compression parts being a HGV fitter myself previously.
