the article is about Nipt is going to really grow in The US because there are more incidences of down syndrome cases. The companies they show are the key players in the Nipt space, whether they are good, bad or indifferent they still are the biggest.
The articles also mentions that they throw out some poor quality, so that's great for us, because when we show up with a product that is 99% accurate then hopefully,..bingo!
As silly as it seems they are the 'best/key' out there, selling billions of $$$$ worth.. Ygen will trump them imo!

Florida. those 'inadequate' companies are world leaders (sales) in the Nipt space, like it or not. The good thing for Ygen is that we have the more accurate test, so that will hopefully make us stand out. As for you saying the likes of Roche, Natera, Illumina etc are inadequate, well I find that a totally bizarre thing to say!
It has been said that some competitor tests are only 80% accurate, the IONA test is 99%....don't you see that as a good thing for us?

Rising incidences in the US could well inflate those figures even more.

forgot to say it's good to see little old Ygen mentioned right in there with the biggest players. We are on the global Nipt map now!

I notice the inaccuracy of tests mentioned. This is where Ygen can do well because we have the most accurate test out there apparently. I believe some competitor tests are only about 80% accurate and that is why it's flagged up in the report.

yes Natdan, all I am looking for from this Covid work is to plug any shortfall from core business, end of! If it turns out to be a bit of a money spinner, then even better, but I am not expecting it to be as lucrative as some seem to think it will be. New product/s launch in USA/Europe/North Africa etc etc could well be different though.

bottom line is nothing has changed from the 25th March rns. We are supplying some critical components, that's it!

whistler, what we are supplying is probably no big deal financially/material. Hence no need to rns. We are after all only supplying a couple of components.
