IBS (a fitting abbreviation for your handle). I note that your 28 LSE posts, since March 2016, all on Byotrol, all negative spin and based on your supposed technical industry knowledge. This seems to date back to a lot of re-organising in the company. As I've said before, it sounds like you are an ex-employee with bad blood. Can't you just let it go now?
The new management and board are making great progress and I believe that Byotrol has a very bright future.
Pdub: Thanks for taking the time to clarify your thought process, which makes sense. Much appreciated.
Pdub: It’s good to see that China V prices are increasing. However, given that BMN ships its V to the US should we not be focussed on the US V price, which unfortunately went down yesterday?
Alfacomp, this my first post regarding BMN. I’ve been invested in the stock for the past two years but only in a meaningful way in the past six months. I hold shares but also have spread bets open with Spreadex and IG. I’ve just read your trading analysis for the day and noted your comment about the large after hours TNCP sell. Your thought is that this might have come from a spread betting platform. I’m not sure if this is related but since Friday early afternoon and most of today it has been very difficult to place a BMN buy order via Spreadex. In my experience, not being able to buy for this extended amount of time is unusual. There have been no issues with buying via IG.
Also, I wanted to thank you and everyone else who post regularly. The effort that goes into researching BMN is amazing and I value it greatly.
Nice blog on BYO website about the Target product launch. http://www.byotrol.co.uk/byotrol-sets-sights-consumer-product-success-target/
IdeasByScience, your posts are always negative. Do you still hold stock in the company and if so why? If you are holding stock and are not happy with the company’s performance, you should sell.
I can’t help but think that you have an axe to grind with the company. Were you part of the previous management who got fired by the current team?
The past is the past, Byotrol now have competent management, cash in the bank, and IMO some serious sales prospects.
it's worth mentioning that I view the numbers below as conservative, we could expect double or triple the sales volume.
You are correct, profitability is key. If the Target trial goes well and they secure listings in the bulk of its stores, then this might get them over the line.
Some guess work:
If they get listed in 1500 stores (Target has ~1850)
Selling 20 units per week per store
Byotrol selling price to target at £1
= £1.56mn revenue per yr. Assume 30% GM = £468k
Welcome Captbonio, I think you are joining the ride at an exciting time. IMO, Byotrol was badly managed for several years. The current management took over in 2014 and has done a good job of righting the ship. Revenue growth has been slow but operating costs have reduced and margins improved.
It appears that Byotrol is progressing several commercial opportunities across both consumer and B2B markets.
Projects worth mentioning:
A commercial agreement with Solvay to launch products with major consumer goods companies - Dec-17 RNS “EU surface care - third-party FMCG testing continues; increased resource investment in the project by our commercialisation partner Solvay”
Byotrol received approval for a 24-hour germ killing claim from the US Environmental Protection Agency in June 2017. I believe that this is the only US product with a 24 claim.
US retailer, Target are currently running a trial in approximately 10% of its 1,829 stores, following which Target will decide whether it wishes to roll-out into nationwide distribution.
They also have ~£4.5mn cash in the bank from a funding round last year.
IMO, Byotrol is currently undervalued and if they can generate revenue growth then we should see a healthy SP increase.
