Acquisition TIDMGFRD RNS Number : 4169D Galliford Try PLC 02 December 2009 ? GALLIFORD TRY ACQUIRES ROSEMULLION HOMES Galliford Try plc, the housebuilding and construction group, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Rosemullion Property Company Limited and its subsidiaries, trading as Rosemullion Homes, a well established housebuilder based in Cornwall with a strong reputation for developing quality homes for its local markets. Rosemullion Homes secured the 'What House?' Housebuilder of the year award in 2008. The acquisition will add 9 sites to Galliford Try's existing business in the south west of England, comprising 24 units under development and a landbank of 132 units. In its last financial year to 31 December 2008, Rosemullion Homes turnover was GBP7.5 million. The consideration, which Galliford Try will be settling in cash from its existing resources, is GBP0.2 million. Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of Galliford Try plc, commented: "Rosemullion Homes is an excellent example of an opportunity to acquire a quality local housebuilder in line with our strategy of growing our housebuilding business both in and adjacent to our existing areas of operation across the south of England".

Trading at $2.72 on tsx (.02 down) it's the last 15mins or so it either tanks or spikes

Finished level on TSX but still a nice couple of days rise over there. Hopefully get back to the high 1.80's

Not quite the 6% tonight but in the right direction, somehow

TSX last hr they had a good increase again and finished at $2.77, which is around £1.56 Long may it continue

Every little helps ha. Could do with another 3 or 4 days of 6% rises, if only

Strong finish on TSX, up 6.02% at $2.64: which is around £1.50. Always seems to rise or fall steeply the last half hour or so over there

GFRD are in the housing sector as well. When the ri came out these were shorted then so that's another reason why they fell, but they are steadily on the rise again. Most took a hit today

It seems to me that, as some have already stated, that over the last few month a lot of petty squabbles have broken out. Having read a few over the months, its my opinion that it all comes down to an individual (not one person in the same instance) who has ultimately lost money. They have obviously invested sfter reading someones information, and maybe done a little research. At the end of the day they are responsible for their own actions, they hit the buy and sell button. If people buy on others research then they lose money, then they should learn from that, and move on. Greed drives the markets and makes people do things they wouldn't normally do. Money, for some is the be all and end all, and they want it no matter what. You cab build up a 'friendship' with people on here, but you must remember, you are in control of your own destiny. We are all adults, we make decisions everyday, some good some bad, if bad then learn a lesson, decide the best move forward, and move on.

Finished around £1.60 on TSX so should open a little higher tomorrow and would like to see £1.80's again soon
