The tours are selling very well and at some point the profit will feed through to the balance sheet. My home and car insurance is with Saga on three year fixed rates. Very happy with the service.

£6.00 is old 40p per share. I recall there was an offer around 40p per share to buy out the whole company. The board rejected it. Thus, I am confident it will reach and exceed £6.00.

I have today received Titan Travel's 2023/24 brochure. This is the best brochure in their history with lots of new destinations. We are due to travel with them in February 2023 and October 2023. The company, Saga, is definitely moving forward with new products and new strategies. I highly recommend their tours.

Can somebody help me figure out the four large buys - 3 of 100,000 shares one of 97,232 shares at prices above 90.4 p to 92.7 p reported after the market closed today. Thank you all.

Sir Roger is buying 20% for £100m. Thus he is valuing the business in its current debt ridden state as £500m. IMO he is no robber. I think he is genuinely trying to steer the company back its original values and profitability by reducing debt and giving the BOD leadership. This company IMO will now recover and boom after COVID is over.

To raise £50m at 15p per share equates to an increase of issue of new shares by 333.3 million shares.

That may mean that an existing shareholder can buy one new share for 15p for every five shares he holds. (?)

The Guardian article states:

20% of Saga shares at 27p = £60.6m.
A further approx. 262 million shares at 15p = £39.4m in the rights issue.
A further £50m to be raised by a rights issue to existing shareholders at 15p per share
The above is my interpretation of the Guardian article.
Please let me know if I have misunderstood the above.

Does anybody know (or worked out) the ratio of the rights issue to existing shareholders?

It is probably because our North Sea fuel is of a higher lighter grade suitable for Kerosene or A1 Jet fuel.
