BAE Systems has continued to perform well in the first half of 2010. The first half year’s performance continues to support the Group’s previously stated outlook for the full year. Headline sales2 growth in the six months was 9%. On a like-for-like basis, sales2 increased by 7%. Growth in underlying EBITA3 on a like-for-like basis was 12%. As anticipated, there was a cash outflow from operating activities of £185m.

In a move underlining the importance of BAE Systems’ presence in India, the company has secured a new order, worth over £500 million, with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), to supply products and services to enable a further 57 Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) aircraft to be built under licence in India for the Indian Air Force (40 aircraft) and Indian Navy (17 aircraft).

Man Im glad I got out when I did. Got it right for a change! Hopefully find a level to get back in at soon :)

I sold out yesterday as needed the money. May come back later but depends on cashflow.

That is the question. I am now in profit. By £50! lmao. Need the money before June so wondering if to sell now or leave a couple of weeks and risk it.

I never thought Id break even again. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Wish Id bought more this time last year to average down and made a fortune. Keep going - profit round the corner at this rate!
