Wasatt - don't kick yourself - you couldn't have made more than 5% there buying on open max 10%...

It makes a difference for AVAILABILITY and how fast a share moves both ways. Think of it like a product that sells out... Increases demand and therefore price. If there are several billion shares buying 1 won't make a difference. If there are only 100 shares buying 1 makes a much much bigger difference.

yeah was in the news this morning - well on the R4 money show... they said its a merger of weakness as gold price is low - ie both are struggling so merge 2 weak companies...

about time they bought some shares back at these prices right??

Yes the forward looking cost reduction and focusing on existing customers does look good. Hopefully the worst out the way for now and good future... who knows. Market might not agree - mixed bag results imo.

GBP rose last week based on a neighbouring oil play being suspended pending an announcement. Its a duster so will drop back to 2p ish. IMO...
