And it's happening faster - two weeks since the last disposal.

HMT hasn't held them back, it's just when all those HMT shares are cancelled!

Once the HMT is done, this will fly.

For the last few days there have been big buys of £25-26m at the close of play.

No RNS, so presuming now it's not the HMT disposal - unless they're going to the release a RNS when they're done and they've got rid of everything.

Anyone know what's going on?!?

Excellent news - Barclays raises NatWest price target to 535 (from 500) pence

Another percentage point drop from December, at this rate the HMT holding will be gone well before the end of the year.

This is when there will be a REAL leap - when the government's stake is disposed and that remaining 11% of shares are cancelled... Feeding frenzy.

Broomfielder, was that "£259" a typo?! I'm guessing you meant £2.59 adjusted. I mean, I'd be pleased with "£259" per share but... 😆

The amount of shares in issue have dropped by a third since 2020 (12B), with all the buyback shares being cancelled.

Shares in issue are currently listed on NatWest's own website now as 8,043,477,072.

So that figure will drop even further soon.

Peel Hunt also upgraded the price target from 410p to 450p
