They have been granted a license but are a LONG way off production. EMED is at production stage. They are in Russia (politically unstable; corruption index high); we are in Spain (politically inept lol; corruption level far lower) Nickel and copper are similarily in a downtrend but our margins are great for a pure copper play. As are theirs for nickel but they have only just started to put out the feelers for JV etc. Both companies have longstanding disappointments, missed targets and disgruntled shareholders. HOWEVER, EMED is about to return fundamentally underpinned value that far exceeds its current market cap. AMC seems mostly to be on sentiment , given that the time until their production starts - if indeed it ever does- is so unknown. We are debt free (astor is a small thorn) and fully financed; AMC has debt and no finance. BUY EMED with your AMC profits people, before it retraces and goes into another long, long downtrend lke that of EMED's while you wait for finance and get diluted heavily along the way.. We have come through the other side.
Wish they would announce it early, angus! Ive applied for 50% of my entire holding as excess. Not going to happen, I know. Copper continues to fall though which is so *&^&%^* annoying! Was just listening to Alberto's minesite presentation again. His points re the copper price are a bit unclear. On the one hand he seems to be saying that "we need it to be 3 dollars a lb". Then later, is he saying that other pure copper plays couldnt go in to production at 2.5 dollars a lb with such a meagre return( c 15%) or something; while emed could and would still return good shareholder value? THe latter is how I understood it when the media was first released. If producton costs are 1.5 dollars as he says there still must be a very decent return when the price is 2.5 dollars/lb assuming offtake and grade are what we are hoping for.
Oh ok, thanks. Find that hard to believe though since the ask didnt drop below 4.95 today.
What?? iii says we wont hear until on or after 24 June. Who's your broker, angusrjy?
I see. Teathers are ramping. 0.1% of the ENLARGED share capital. Lol. Meaningless. And an RNs which I see they actually requested to be posted on emed's page since iii's one has it too. They'll be selling into any rise.
Thanks for the clarification. Thought for a moment you were turning bearish here!
"Of course it is unsustainable at the current price" It being what, Tracylied?
This RNS has been posted on emed in error. It should be under Teather's ones (the big clue is the issuer in the header, LSE). LSE is bccoming a total f*ck up and L2 is always on the blink these days. Time to cancel the subscription methinks.
Not looking too hopeful for my 50% request, lol. Just bought another 98k shares at 5.09 showing as a sell. GLA
That should read "emed placing falls a little short"
little short" What? don't think they read the rns properly!or is it me who is missing something??
Thanks for your replies. You could be right on the bed/isa thingie. Ive never done one so didnt know you could get a tight spread like that.
Who just sold £20k at placement price? Seems like an odd move. Care to share?
That is largely my view too. Hopefully the big money agrees to enable a rerate.
I've applied for 50% excess shares. Doubt I'll get them now that everybody's cottoned on here. On the other hand Bhp Biliton et al's recent comments re oversupply of commodities might yet deter PIs taking up the offer. It will almost certainly deter all but the highly speculative ii investment. It's difficult to say how much another downturn in copper prices would affect a rise in sp here, considering we are starting from such a low point. What do you think, Tracylied?
THey did make placements at an extremely undervalued 4.75/5 (from Bigbaddaz's post) before IIs bought at a premium. But it's extremely rare and Im not sure that SOUND were staring down the barrel of a gun the way we were.
Remember you mentioned Shore Cap selling on the way down, Mr Onions, which brought further panic selling by PIs? It had nothing to do with AL and JL. I havent found any shares that had a placement at a premium to their current price. I made another top-up this am of 201k and fully expected to be paying over 5p for more so that was a bonus. Sentiment here has been severely damaged, like most AIM shares. Copper futures arent looking quite as rosy as a few weeks ago and this will also be having an effect. Hopefully the reserves update will be the catalyst for a rerate.
Apologies , not a new shareholder. Still looking great here.
This is great and, together with info from other boards pointing to a new significant holder (8%), seems like we might be taking off sooner than we thought. Happy about my further 59.43k top up today.
