Quick question - relatively new to investing2 Jan 2022 11:55
Hey all, I've been in here since early-ish 2020, so have a (relatively) tidy profit. Only a few thousand shares but still very pleased! This has pretty much been the first big investment I've ever done and whilst I'm super confident and excited to get the results hopefully very soon I did just have quick question that perhaps one of you more well-versed people can help with!
Obviously if/when we get the results and they're great, the share will get a lovely boost and if it goes to the estimated £10ish figure then that's brilliant, but won't that result in loads (like a majority?!) of people selling to take profits, and wouldn't that then push the price back down? I'm just not entirely confident I know how it all works I suppose. I don't want to sell all my shares if/when it hits £10 because I'd like to keep some in case it goes higher... but in my mind it seems like if half of everyone invested sells at £10 (because that's a sensible idea!) wouldn't that just drop the price anyway, making the rest of my shares less valuable?
Sorry if this is wordy and very misinformed... as I said, I'm just new to investing and thought I'd ask here as this forum has (almost always) been a great place to get information!
Thanks, and here's to a very, very happy 2022 for us all! :D
