DEBS1 - today at PMQ's TM was asked specifically to confirm that we will be taking back control of our water, the answer was a clear yes.

I'm finding it hard to understand why the 'hard brexiteers' are moaning so much, Boris & DD were given their chance, turned out they couldn't deliver, nothing but sour grapes from them, given a little time seems the deal will deliver the essence of Brexit while maintaining our trading relationship and goodwill with the EU, should even gain approval from remainers (such as me)

Boomer - I voted to stay in but, the people have spoken, I find it very disrespectful, dangerous and down right rude that some seek to disrupt democracy,
Further, given how the EU are dealing with Brexit, if there were to be a 2nd vote, I believe I would now vote leave,

My usual weekend update,
I started this fantasy portfolio in 2016 to challenge various posters perception that Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dog of a share', on the 8th Oct 2016 I invited WL/Newchurch to choose an alternative ftse 100 company so I could run a comparison

On 8th Oct 2016 - 1000 quid bought 206 BP. shares & 1905 Lloy shares
Today's value
BP. 206 @ 524 = 1079
Lloy 1905 @ 59.9 = 1141

In April 2017 Invest4life suggested I add Glencore -
On 22-4-17 - 1000 quid bought 335 Glen shares & 1553 Lloy shares
Today's value
Glen 335 @ 304 = 1018
Lloy 1553 @ 59.9 = 930

In May 2017 Pugsy suggested I add Ocado -
On 22-5-17 - 1000 quid bought 331 Ocdo shares & 1392 Lloy shares

This weeks observation - only banks & DGE up - banks still mostly neck & neck, OMG wish I'd bought, sold then short Ocdo,

Overall conclusion -
A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dog of a share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.

Boomer - there are a few other issues nibbling into bottom line profits, there are a couple of unresolved court cases (well, if Mr Blobby ever gets round to starting his), a few other remaining 'Reading Branch' cases to be settled, the pension equality decision needs to be addressed and there are the ongoing costs involved with the move to online/internet banking,
Soon many of these issues will be settled, then Lloy should move closer to those 'underlying profit' numbers

They are my projections Boomer,

Underlying profits boosted by efficiency, cost cutting and growth, as Brexit uncertainty lifts I expect a boost to the economy, and as Mr Culmer does not expect any more Ppi provisions a greater proportion of those underlying profits will make it to the bottom line,

Lloy future looks very bright IMO
