As I have outlined before LTI - I understand and accept the majority have their reasons to leave the EU club - but the Boris concept that we could have all the benefits without being membership is plain crackers - the proposed deal is a respectable compromise - IMO we would be crazy not to accept.

Jl5006 - If you don't wish to believe the BBC site there are sources of reference - the important thing is to obtain the facts, not to be duped by urban myth & spin

Jl5006 - some Brexiteers seem to have a deep dislike even hatred of everything EU, I would suggest the majority take the more reasoned view that while the UK wishes to leave it would be faverable to continue trade and remain friends with our largest and closest market place.

Pbow - while I voted remain I have to respect the majority voted the other way - the UK is now duty bound to leave, IMO Mrs May's deal fore fills the 'will of the people' and at the same time minimises disruption,

Come crunch time - I trust common sense will prevail and Mrs May's deal will be passed

* to believe we will continue to make payments
* to believe we won't be out of the common agriculture policy
* to believe we won't be out of the common fisheries policy
* to believe the UK won't be free to reach separate non-EU trade deals
* to believe the UK would cease trade with the EU under a common rule book
* to believe the Irish border is a problem
* to believe the UK won't be free to reach a deal on services

Pbow - yes, we all know there will be a transition period

So, as I understand your post -

* Your not saying free movement wont stop
* Your not saying we have to accept ECJ rules/laws
* Your not saying we will continue making payments
* You agree we will be out
* You agree we will be free to make our own deals
* After transition we will
* To aid exports to the EU we will 'chose' to match the EU rule book
* The Irish border thing isn't a real problem
* Deal on goods & services are yet to be negotiated

Yesterday I asked Basherbaz to explain why he thought Mrs May's Deal wouldn't deliver the following points

* End to free movement of people
* Ends role of the European Court of Justice
* Ends annual payments to the EU budget
* Out of The Common Agricultural Policy
* Out of The Common Fisheries Policy
* Enables the UK to reach separate non-EU trade deals
* UK may choose to maintain "common rulebook on goods"
* No hard Irish border
* The UK to have "regulatory flexibility" for services

As Basher hasn't replied does anyone else think Mrs May's deal doesn't 'deliver what the people voted for'
