I agree with zstarz. We've seen many instances this year and last of positive swings, despite the results. To me, it would be ridiculous to have such a negative impact given we have been closed for so long. If anything, it's the perfect opportunity to surprise us with future plans to balance things. The past is the past and we all know what has happened. The future is what's important on results day imo

@fly yeah timing it is something most don't always get right. Worth a try if you're still in profit I guess

I have heard it could be positive (except potential corp tax rises - selfishly hoping it doesn't happen). What do you guys think it will do to the markets? Maybe an extra push? I don't think it has been priced in yet as we're unsure which way it will go, or how positive it will be.

@lloyd I think that unless there's a dramatic turn, a lower entry point might not be worth trying to get. Once it's over £1 and general sentiment remains positive, I can't see it dipping back into the 80s or 90s, unless there's genuine fear or market manipulation. But who knows, just my opinion. I'm not selling and buying, I'm holding and selling when I'm happy to move on

Looks like it could be similar to yesterday. Flirting to spike higher, but facing a battle. I think it's just because there are more in demand stocks at the minute. We'll get our time as the weeks go on, providing the data and roadmap hold up

@Funinvestor, exactly my trail of thinking sometimes. It's literally a game of follow the trend or follow the hype. Absolutely no skill or anything required, just confidence in the markets I guess.

@zstarz for sure we need opening ASAP, wherever it is. I'm not worried about the future. Yes, the figures won't look pretty for years, but we will benefit from multiple markets like before. The SP will progress on the back of this. Leisure/entertainment stocks will benefit between now and the rest of the year and probably be the leading sector, as long as there aren't any lockdowns

Surely it will be similar to knb, if not higher? There's more publicity about cbx it seems and they might get a Friday frenzy of early trading. Everyone who has got some at 5p should at least double their money if not 4 bag it during the day. I will definitely buy more first thing on Friday as there will be at least 2 positive days with huge huge gains I think.

May be worth throwing the kitchen sink into them.

@zstarz seems that way for sure. I guess it's just the size of the market over there and the nature of traders trying to make a quick buck. Must be so much manipulation going on. I must admit, I may have to start buying into US stocks more to benefit from such events.

I feel like this US is just wild and even though we are somewhat related to AMC, we just don't get the same spikes (unless there's something actually going on). Seems like AMC can just jump over nothing. But as you both say, we can only hope. I wonder what is causing it

Not a bad idea. I think there will be a fight to keep in the 90s over the next 2 months
