For those that are interested.
Its easier to bring unskilled labour to the UK and manage them in the UK than send skilled managers overseas and manage them in India. We tried it years ago in Romania, it was a disaster. Theres been a lot of talk about reshoring, mainly because of quality issues.
Odey isn't a public investor so therefore would fall under the private investor rules?
Private share notifications
A private share notification must be made when the net short position in shares reaches 0.1% of the issued share capital of the company concerned, and again at each 0.1% increment after that.
This relates to both increases and decreases of the position (including each time the position drops from 0.1% or above to below 0.1%).
That would suggest Odey has gone?
Slippers.
I have to disagree. Yes, a building is already there, and it's a portal frame structure which means that could completely gut the insides and do what they please.
Whatever they choose to do will require permission, there is no issue here, it's simply procedure, but the fact remains that boo have not sought any permissions as yet, they have not even applied for change of use, not yet.
Everybody concerned needed to make this happen is working normally. I can say this because I have a civil project of my own going through as we speak and I've had no issues with people not being available.

It wouldn't surprise me if they abandon the Thurmaston site. They may have outgrown it already, took umbridge about the local MP, or even only just found out there isn't a big enough power supply to that site to drive the machines. The had that site almost 5 months and done nothing, my money's on they need something bigger already, and not necessarily in the UK.
