Fatsam I don't think that is actually correct, voli seems to be up to speed with the rules so can probably confirm. But I believe that the Wednesday he mentioned is when they meet to confirm the reshuffle based on eligibility rules. However, there is a cut off date for the market cap they use during that meeting, which i believe will fall the day before Capita's results in March. So I think we would need to hit the high 30's (all other things being equal) before the results to get back in on the March reshuffle.
I believe the cut of for the March reshuffle is the day before capitas results. Is it possible we have a big run up to the results over the next couple of weeks, and we get a double whammy of good results and get back in ftse 250? One can dream, its probably unlikely.
Yes you are mistaken, for automatic entry it would currently need market cap of approx 650m from what i can work out based on todays prices, so 37p would do it, but its a moving target. If the results are good we should get back in at the June reshuffle if we are lucky.
The share buyback seems never ending, anyone know when it will end? I still think this looks undervalued but maybe need to wait for the results before getting back in.
Aim you are sounding more and more desperate. With over 61k employees a pay error for a few hundred employees is hardly going to make any difference to capitas profits.
Could be touching 30p today, resistance is now sitting at 29.9 I reckon with support at about 27.9. I doubt you are really short here, but good luck if you are.
A better economist than Aim once said
“It is better to be roughly right than precisely wrong.”
Aim has mastered the latter. Just needs to work on being roughly right occasionally.
Glad I sold out a couple of days ago, more luck than judgement, but agree probably better to watch from the sidelines for now.
So his resorted to looking at a ship builder because he finally realises the ship here has sailed and he’s missed it.
I've sold out for a decent 12% profit. I will definitely buy back if it drops down below 40 again.
GOCPI I agree cpi should (hopefully) do well regardless, its one of the few investments I am holding onto, but I am not convinced the fed will pull of a soft landing, after all the same people were saying inflation wasn't going to be an issue 18 months ago. Like you say we will find out in the coming months, but I am a bit on the side of the doom mongers and positioned very defensively after the recent rise in the markets.
But that's not what the fed wants for its soft landing, so not good for the US markets on top of the bad earnings reported by aim.
Successtothebrave what about shifting your comparison with the NASDAQ back a couple of weeks to when capita gave its update... CPI has significantly outperformed the index since then, and a comparison to its sector peers would be more informative rather than a mix of retailers and finance companies that are very sensitive to interest rate and recession news.
The investment argument here is its a potential multi bagger but you probably need to change your name to successtothepatient to benefit.
Too much support at 27p to risk selling this and missing any of the uptrend for me. Risk here seems minimal provided the results are as expected.
Thanks for link aim, ok not as good as I thought it might of been.
I heard from a friend in education that capita are the preferred bidder for running a trial “flexible working programme” in schools. Let’s hope we win it, I would guess if the trial is successful it could turn into a very lucrative contract if rolled out to all schools. No other details I am afraid so just rumour really.
Possible triangle breakout? Imho
Find out what? You predicted it would fall 5% yesterday. It didn’t. You predicted some kind of overnight shock in the stock markets. Did that happen? No. Nothing else to find out from your pointless predictions. Do you really think your posts move the capita share price? You really are a numpty!
I would agree with you aim, but then we would both be wrong.
Well spotted nofear, great contract, surely they should of put this on RNS.
@peakybinder we will see, I am hoping this has bottomed out and the share buybacks have tempted all the sellers to bail out, leaving just long term holders. I have only opened a small trade as you could well be right :(
