in addition they said that they have no doubts as to the quality of the gold, it's just the court case (which they have now won) took longer than expected. the management would like to commence building the mine to extract as soon as possible and further details will be given when available.
just had an in depth conversation with aurum mining. they're not ceasing to trade, the 33p divi is to pay back shareholders the money that was collected to build a new mine in andash. they now hold the title to the mine/gold and will be looking to continue operations there as soon as possible
looking at what i've read... (obviously do your own reading too!) the company is offloading 33p per share to shareholders, they've found proven reserves of 1.1 million oz of gold and worst case, sell the shares after the divi, but that's just my view, i'm in.
you're right mate about cash pile, i was looking at their website...but looking at that, they claim there's proven reserves of 1 million oz of gold
just had a look, the company has cash and cash equivalents of $35.4 million, which is around £24 million.. so if your calculations are correct about 16mil to shareholders, they're still left with 8 million in cash, plus any mining assets, gold etc they've extracted.
true that, but which shareholder would complain to a 33p divi? i can't really imagine anyone would grumble!
i've bought in purely for the reason that it's bound to be accepted at the AGM, in addition, there was a mention of further divis to shareholders :-) roll on!
well that's excellent news surely! 100% gain on investment...
is the company still trading? i.e. we buy the shares now, get our dividend and sell our shares for 30p again?!
yeah lets hope we have better luck tomorrow with solg
lol yeah to be honest the way i read it was that the company was giving a 2p divi on it's 2p share price, was going to buy at 2p hold out for my divi then sell at 2p, but it didn't work out that way when i read their website!
sorry mate, i take responsibility but only in part! i brought the rns to your attention, and to be honest didn't do my research, it just seemed too good to be true when the sp was 2p and divi was 2p too, ah well, we live and learn. apologies!
me too mate, didn't read the details just jumped aboard when i read the RNS! in for 500 quid, now worth about 400! am out with a loss...
depends which way they go, they're paying a divi but if the shares retain their value then you've made profit not suggesting a sky rocket
not if the shares retain their value after divi
looks that way
