Looking through this thread and some of the possible valuations of Churditch, I am looking at it from the angle of what will the majors think is too much to pay for it.
Assuming that there are more than one interested party, at what stage will a company, some of whom who are recording quarterly profits of £20bn, think £200/300/400m is too much for an asset, which in January might independently confirm up to 30 years production.
It might be a situation, where, its not a case of what a major is prepared to pay, but a case of what a rival is not prepared to pay.
3d seismic results for both projects due in q2, apparently they have had them since June, and are now interpreting these results.
Must be working from home and having a quick look at them in between dropping the kids off to school, collecting them, bringing them to swimming or football or piano lessons
It's political now as well, after the TL Govt suggested possible Chinese involvement. I'd be shocked if the Australian Govt wasn't providing Woodside some subtle assistance from the sidelines, via tax breaks or grant aid etc.
