Despite the frustrations shown yesterday evening, we still have to THANK FOTH and all the EYES team for all there work over the years. Some of us further away from the action are reliant on their valuable information. Some of us are long distance armchair investors and the only way we can join and follow the party is by the EYES input. -I may not post often on these boards but I am a genuine LTH so thank you to the EYES including FOTH …….
Though API values do not have units, they are often referred to as degrees. So the API gravity of West Texas Intermediate is said to be 39.6 degrees. API gravity moves inversely to density, which means the denser an oil is, the lower its API gravity will be. An API of 10 is equivalent to water, which means any oil with an API above 10 will float on water while any with an API below 10 will sink.
The API gravity is used to classify oils as light, medium, heavy, or extra heavy. As the “weight” of an oil is the largest determinant of its market value, API gravity is exceptionally important. The API values for each “weight” are as follows:
Light – API > 31.1
Medium – API between 22.3 and 31.1
Heavy – API < 22.3
Extra Heavy – API < 10.0

Thanks I've been here a while in BLVN XEL aswell similar sums although XEL Isa'd. One day it will turn good. Also hold significant others such as BATS GSK AZN 70/30 FTSE/AIM split,so I am not entirely a newbie, but just disappointed, this time Fortuna I have no idea I believe the cash value is more than current market price and thats why I've kept some but you pays your money you takes your choice, its an expensive learning process and if I ever fathom it out then I might buy more than a matchbox Ferrari
DoesN't **** typo
My exposure wascreated by averaging down averaging down averaging down and then close out. Hey ho it does always work but one day rodney one day.....
Thanks for advice fortunately I'm in a position to ride again but if it comes to which ferrari it will have to be this one for now http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn249/RVREVOX3/Toycars/Matchbox%201990%20to%202000/Matchbox-Tyco%201995/MBT21%20Ferrari%20F50/MBT21-1995-FerrariF50-2.jpg
Sick to the back teeth with this 13K down a years hard saving and investing, what return does aim give you,but a sleepless weekend and empty pockets too. I'm not out fully either but cannot see a return especially to the heady days when I first invested in the 30's. I guess I'm not alone and it was solely my decision to put faith in this company yet let it be a lesson if you see me buy then its time to move out. Aim has a reputation and that is becoming that its only a one way street - downhill........
