Only got mine on Wednesday. With Hargreaves
Meant to say taken profit in HNR/ZOE to buy here
Imagine there are quite a few holders like myself who had written off their investment and don't post here anymore. Over £100k down on Sound in my SIPP and back in March when my other big holding HNR/ZOE hit 3p my pension was virtually gone. Kept the faith with ZOE and thankfully all my losses in SOU and ZOE have been wiped out and I am £100k up overall. My average for SOU was 50p+ but have taken some profit there and bought another 350,000 SOU shares yesterday to get my average down to 11p. **** or bust. Still believe there is value in the asset, i'ts all about being able to afford to get it out of the ground. Could have waited till news on Bonds/tax/finance but took the plunge yesterday. Treating it as a red or black gamble. My wife also had £16k's worth in her SIPP when she bought but her average is 90p+ Holding still but have written that off as well as not worth selling. Good luck all and hope all those who have lost as much as me manage to get some of it back here or elsewhere.
Well said Bs. Not posted here since the formation of the Twitter/Viber group. Still hold 650,000 shares at an average now of 19p. My sipp was nearly wiped out with a loss of £160k down at 4p. Holding strong. Hope all lth's get back to profit.
So Vibe. Somebody buys us for 50p (£500mil), drills one hole at TE11 at £10million and are successful they would double their money? Sounds like good odds to me for a buyer. Far too good odds bearing the size of Tendara and the leads we have identified and a production concession with gsa which will supply 60% of Morocco's gas needs! TE10 would have put us close to £1. So one successful drill could put us at £1billion market cap. Thats a lot of drills at £10million a piece to find the ONE to double a purchase price of 50p (ie 500million to play with to get one successful drill).
Puts it into perspective for me. 50p doesn't cut it. Anything less than 50p without further payments on success will not get my vote. Drill on. We only needed one hit from three for success. Pity it wasn't the first 2 drills.
J Batch. Don't even try and figure it out. The red sell, blue buy is notoriously incorrect because the market makers most of the time have a false bid and ask. If you try some dummy buys/sells you will find the true prices. I believe the 100,000 trades in the morning were buys. Look at the trade at 10.07am 20,000 at 8.25 (.25 below bid). Cant see being able to sell 100,000 at 8,53( above bid). The price of the subsequent 100,000 trades also went up pointing to them being buys.
I believe most trades today above bid were buys.
I have in the past had a situation with hnr when I was doing dummy buys and sells where I was getting a higher price to sell than buy!!!! To test it I actually sold 20,000 at 20.10p and then bought 20,000 at 20.00p straight after. I managed this 3 times before the quotes started coming the correct way around.
You will see a lot of days where the quoted spread is 0.5p and yet the sells are bang on bid and the buys are less than 0.05p above bid.
I think Highlands needs to employ somebody full time for press communication. Regular tweets, update the website more regularly (no mention of Zoetics or a link on the hnr website for when people visit after reading the Mail article). We need to ride the hype wave surrounding cbd while it lasts. As Dave has quoted from the article we have everything in place already compared to some of these other outfits listing who don't have production facilities yet.
Good find. Seem to have missed the hype and high valuations mentioned in the article here. Hope that will soon change. At least we get a mention in the article.
Yes, thanks for the informative posts today. No red banners on my screen today for filtered posts. Amazing how they all disappear at weekends. My 3 year wait will soon be over.
Finally had enough of all the shit bring spouted by the wankers and used the filter. Gone from 47 posts today to 20. It's like a cockroach infestation. Waiting for my first ban on LSE. ******s.
Where's my share tips Antha?
Hi Antha,
do you have a good share tip for me out of the 13+ ones you have commented on in the past 30 days.
I'm looking for a jam today company ( ie one where all the projects are finished and reached full potential and have income from them all ) with no jam tomorrow projects on the go?
The main thing is I want to buy those recommendations at jam tomorrow prices, not jam today prices.
Thanks in anticipation.
Thought i'd try a different tact BH. Have no intention of selling.
So, at the risk of falling into your traps Esski, JJAL and you know who. What do you wish to accomplish with your negative views. IF you are invested do you not think your negative views will not harm the SP more than it has already been harmed? I absolutely believe some people see the negativity on here and make buy/sell decisions based on it. Not all are experienced to the games that are played. I have fallen for it in the past when I was new to investing.
If you are so incensed at what the bod's have done why are you not e-mailing them on a daily basis instead of complaining on here.
LTH's have already said we are pissed off with the share price, me included. A number have contacted the bod solely and a number of us have formed a group to put our views across to the bod's collectively. What have you done? Are you both going to the investor days next week to express your displeasure?
What do you want LTH's to do? NOT focus on the positives? Sell up. Harm our SP even more by highlighting the negatives. I think you will find most LTH's can see the negatives and have experienced them the hard way in cold hard cash ( me to the tune of £100k loss in my SIPP).
Now you can imagine the reaction you get when people are hundreds of thousands of pounds in the red and posters on bulletin boards keep churning out the negatives. Is it any surprise people would have high blood pressure.
Again, my question to you. What would you have us do that we have not already done? We have aknowledged the negatives. We have contacted the bod's. What are you hoping to achieve with your negativity if you are truely invested?
I don't get it.
The only assumption people can make is that you are not invested and are trying to drive the price lower. No normal person would slag off their investment on a public forum if they were hoping for the share price to recover. It requires new investors for the share price to rise. It looks like new investors are waiting for the income to arrive before investing. I can't speak for all LTH's but I have run out of money to invest more to bring my average down, I put my last £30k in at 18p.
So Esski and JJal, what do you recommend that I do?
Are these our Uranium play or something else?
Good find
JJAL, I've not recommended your post but it is one of your most balanced post's to date. I agree with a lot of what you have said but the difference is that being invested to the tune of 770,000 shares I don't make a habit of coming on here every day slagging the company (RP mainly) off. Why would I harm my investment?
What I will say is this. RP has not delivered share holder value with an increase in share price, unfortunately that is in the hands of the market/traders/shorters/ organized groups of traders taking the share price down and back up again with the help of market makers while the long term holders (2 plus years) such as my self with averages in the low 20's and no more cash to average down have to suck it up.
What he has delivered is a company with a diversified portfolio of assets(not a one trick pony) any one of which if he finally gets it over the finish line will completely transform the share price.
You mention shareholder value and who took the risk on the first 2 wells at ED. You are correct, we did. The biggest loser from the 30p placement is RP himself. He is the biggest shareholder in the company. 12,000,000 shares. At 30p his holding was worth £3,600,000. At a share price of 10p his holding is worth £1,200,000. So RP has made a paper loss of £2,400,000!!!!!!
You will reply that he is being paid so this doesn't matter. His salary last financial year ( which was the year ED was sold for $5,000,000) was £226,000. He paid himself a bonus of £69,000. In my opinion this is not excessive based on the hours he puts in.
Am I happy with the situation at the moment? No. BUT I look around at other shares which attract the money and keep thinking if I had money to invest I would put it here rather than in 88e, Pantheon, UKOG, Angs, Greetland, Bushveld, PREM etc etc
Hi Chad. Hold both Sou and hnr. My only 2 holdings. Can't comment on what to do. Don't know your situation. Average buy in? In shock this week. Have made back some of my losses but it is hnr that has gained. Still in disbelief at Sou falling after the last RNs. A confirmed discovery at te10 and now valued at 5p below the confirmed value of te5 Horst of 27p. Beyond belief. I don't get this investing lark at times. I am staying in both. I won't be moving money between the 2 trying to catch the rises\miss the falls. Both have news imminent. GSA finally at Sou? 6 weeks to test results. All I will say is what I've said on here before. If I had any more funds left to invest would I buy hnr and Sou at their current prices. Absolutely.
The discovery rns:

That's the thing though osg. Hindsight's great. I am unwilling to sell either at a loss to go chasing rainbows elsewhere. I still believe in the assets here and at Sou. I have learnt from past experience to be patient. I have sold out in the past with hnr when it was dropping towards 25p from the 30's. Low and behold the news dropped the following day and back in the 30's and had to buy back higher. Lesson learnt.
Really really wanted to buy more Sou at 10p but didn't dare sell any here as with my skill and timing hnr would drop a nitrogen deal RNs after 6 months of waiting.
Lloyd on here is also very vocal about hnr's failings and share price and was going to sell and jump into Flybe to regain his losses. That would have worked out well today.
Are the projects we have progressing quickly enough for most on here? No
Do we have a diversified portfolio of projects\assets?Yes
The right news on anyone of our projects could see the the sp double\triple at the least. I want to be here when that happens.
I am here for the long term. I have another 3 years till I am 55 to let this and Sou play out. I hope to take some off the table here and at Sou this year to derisk and start putting some in cash and Divi paying ft100 companies. I will retain a large holding here for divi's and the ultimate prize of Helios( Hnr market cap £12 million, Helios cpr $300,000,000 plus!!!!)
