Fed up and hoping for recovery by cop.

I was looking into the latest FY22 results...

the prof after tax was £(220.7)m driven by the imparement, but the imparement was 261m so in we have returned to profit of 41m if not for the non cash imparement posting...

Also since 2019 they reduced the net debts by c. 256m. in covid environment - impresive imo.

IMO this has a great potential despite interest spikes in longer term.

Yes, when raised concerns theirs response was:

Yes but part of that was fixed…

Revenue results was very good. The net profit was affected by posting the impairment or goodwill so they don’t pay taxes etc

I think the dividends introduced was to indicate nothing to worry about. I don’t expect any surprises in this results coming…

Also they hedged for fuel spikes

so apart of the JP Morgan leaving, shorts and panicked sellers I can’t see anything wrong with the company itself…

Besides today panic sellers following the crowd…

I start to worry but I know long term I shouldn’t imo

Lost of words. Where is the problem ?

They pay dividends, healthy revenue, new contract for billions, recent directors buys, Q1 results positive… debts to be managed, ticket prices to be up, lots of events run ups… and cover for train strikes

Yet we are sinking like titanic…

With stocks everyone is sometimes right and sometimes wrong. No one has a crystal ball.

It is what it is. You were not vocal either when it went back up to 120….

As for me I hope and believe it will reverse it up eventually. Hate being underwater, nerves wrecking . For the ones with cash great opportunity imo

Why you are digging on paddy?

Regulars are around just fed up keep saying the same stuff over and over again.

Company fundamentals did not change, debt is manageable, and shorts increased and keep depressing sp down further in the s**** market as it is.

Rails go on strike again, bonus for nex…

Besides all above it’s depressing to see NEX at these levels.

Some of you also believe in the company and sticking around but talk garbage to break some to sell so you will pick their shares at cheap cheap rate…

So some of you think the sp will drift down to 60 and sells panic over possibility of share issue …

Why they would change the company name ? Really to continue the same way ? Why would they pay dividends? To mislead investors and be sued? I doubt it, imo it doesn’t make sense.

It got so low cos of the shorts, nothing else changed . Shorts are the nightmare of the sp and it doesn’t mean they know something. They drive the price down same as on microfocus… where fundamentals did not change, people speculated and panicked (me too) and the price was at all times low between 254- 265… few weeks later buyout offer was announced… coincident?

Here the name change is for a reason… no management buys, fundamentals not changed, new contract announced, dividends paid … imo something positive is brewing .

I share same regret not being able to top up.

Great opportunity here. I will wait and if it goes below 100 will use some of refurb budget to top up here but for now happy to seat temporarily on paper loss.

It will come good eventually like RR. imo.

We are not going bust. It’s a good company with solid business. It’s opportunity time for some and the lows are only temporary. They pay dividends. Change of name was for a reason which we can’t see yet.

Microfocus was dripping like a broken pipe for a while and I panicked and sold my investment. It’s dropped few pennies down but 2 weeks later announced selling for double the share price. !

It s not a nice feeling here to go under water but eventually we’ll recover imo. Dyor.

I am in NEX and if you are looking for new opportunities I am kin to hear your opinion on it. Not sophisticated but down to earth business. pays dividends at its lows atm so was good entry point. In my opinion.

Anyone aware if today’s large 3 transactions total over £5m are buys/sells or anything to do with shorts? Hope not!

2 x new buys recorded today c3m each… any news anywhere?

Around 10.30 two x buys of over £4m hence over 8m

Got in when sp was on the top… looking forward similar ride as rr or recent cpi…
Still, good investment . Couple of years ago got at 130 then started to drop and I caved when broke even. Few weeks later went flying to 150 and 180 220 … regretted selling. Patience… kept saying and I ditto same with microfocus. Got in at 250 went up to 500 ( couldn’t sell at the time) and south for weeks to my purchase price. Freaked out and sold at 260… few days later but out offer was announced!!!!
This time I will not make same mistakes…
