Am I getting something wrong... true the dividend hasn't changed despite the profit spike, but they just bought a company
What kind of joke stock is this. Great set of results, growth prospects, revenue on the up, profit in the up up....
4% down on market opening and now just shy of 2% increase...
Depressing stock...
It seems TB is getting some cash ready for us....$3.7 bn sale of Frontline Education planned to completed by Q4 2022.
I like the timeliness of this transaction, not the quantity. I guess they have got a couple of billion more already in the bank to throw at us, right?

5 p makes me happy indeed.
I assume the non-explored adjacent lands that we own would be accounted for in a buy out even.
In my blind optimism I believe they should assume they contain the same lithium per sq km, and loose the hen accordingly (loose the hen as a synonym of let ting their money smoothly flow from their pockets into ours). At the pf the day, the valuation of the mine was calculated using old and low lithium prices, so wouldn't be really a drama for them to extrapolate the value of unexplored land.
Just had a look to Opentext financials... not sure if they are buying MCRO with debt, shares or a mix. They already have $4.6 billion debt...adding this zombie to their balance sheet doesn't paint a pretty picture either....
However, once you patent it your formula becomes public, so plenty of info there for large pharrma to replace such and such ingredients and blow you out of the water. If some of the key components are easily replaceable, you are better off keeping it as a trade secret, at least they will gave to go through de bother of reverse engineer it (which nowadays is easy enough if you have the right budget)
If you really want to take a punt CINE is ripe for it.
On the flip side, say you sell your MCRO stock and invest in DARK right now. Then, Thoma Bravo walks out without making an offer. Darktrace will retract from curent levels to the old 300p (if not less). And your investment will shrink accordinhly.
I am invested in both and I am not going to touch them, set aside putting all my eggs in the same basket (and Dark is indeed the wrong one in this case, as no sound offer has been made). I agree it is very likely that other bidders follow suit and price raises, but that could happen in both cases.
From my perspective, and where I am most likely to put my money after September 8, Kape Technologies and NCC Group are as juicy as MCRO and Dark for a takeover, and thats my strategy.
