He's just bought 60k of shares.....
I agree. It's on life support and only a few poor souls are arguing that the plug shouldn't be pulled.
Mine was 0.90, I average 0.38. I'm tempted to double my holding and try and recover on a bounce but I'm resisting that, I've put money into RR instead as I feel its a better bet. Cine could recover and maybe I'll kick myself but I'm far from convinced.
Thanks all... and you're probably right it's not the bast place to seek advice. As one said I have a diverse portfolio cine was the big risk/reward share and I made the rookie mistake of not booking a profit (my FA told me if ever anything doubles sell half and your holding is free... ah well). Thanks anyway and good luck all. I will hold and hope for the best now!
Hi all. I'm relatively new to shares, starting whilst ill during pandemic and do not fully understand what the ramifications are here. I fully researched all shares I bought and in general and doing OK except for cine. I average 0.38 and should have sold on the bond bounce... I think I was guilty of a. Falling in love with the share and b. Believing mooky would want his huge bonus! Mu question is is there any value in me holding or do I take the horrible 90% loss and at least have something back? I can afford the loss so it's not like I need to gey something
Thanks Dinosaur. None of us are happy here but some perspective is needed... I've lost a significant amount of money... as have most of you on here... I've NOT lost my job, my income, my future or my home. IF cine go under the victims are the employees who turn up and work hard! I'll survive this. So will the rest of you. One or two of them night not be so lucky. The thought of going and pestering them... wow.
Ragz are you effing joking? We've all lost a few quid but (I hope) as investors in the market we a. Knew the risks and b. Can take the unpalatable loss on the chin. Haranguing low paid workers who will be terrified of redundancy because you've lost a few quid is at best crass. Don't do this.
Personally I see no point selling now. I average 0.38. The time to cut losses was 12p yesterday not 3.5p. I'm basically wiped out as it is. Would I sell for 12p now? Absolutely. Is there any point me cashing in for a couple k now? Absolutely not.
Not sure of take off or dead cat bounce but day traders have made a nice 15-20%... more than most will see with this dog.
I guess a lot in same boat as me. I average 0.38... should have checked out on the post Bond bounce but got greedy... basically I liked the payout deal for the board... lessen learned, I could have cashed half out at that stage and had a free ride from then. I think now it's so low I won't even bother cutting my losses... I'll hope the court case goes OK and get out anywhere abovec20. GLA
I don't think its viable. We would need to prove they acted dishonestly and for personal gain. Even if that's true there will be no real evidence and they will point to market condition etc. Now if you could sue for stupidity then we'd be laughing
What's everyone averaging? I'm going to book a small profit but for the time and cash put in I feel more than a little insulted by this.... feel I shouldn't moan too much as I know a lot will have lost heavily.
Go and see it. Great film and boost you revenue..
Biscuits eh crumpet? They aren't what they used to be. I bought a pack of clubs the other day. If you like a lot of chocolate on your biscuits dont bother
Currently still holding at a 42p average. Silly i topped up Tuesday at 67p instead of waiting but overall position I'm ok with. Understand all the people annoyed at this but for me the question is simple. Do you believe in the film industry and in cineworlds long term position as part of it? If yes hold or even top up....
Question for people - if you wanted a safe steady growth why did you invest in CINE during the current global climate???
I know what you mean bonkers, would rather have the nice win based on picking a company that we researched and felt was undervalued than a false roll by some chancers... that said just like you I'd certainly take the profits!!
Doesn't this make it a prime target for a gamestop type attack....
Hope it gains momentum but doesn't seem to have the traffic as yet. Still a mildly positive signal and worth a small top up regardless as price sill a but for me.
Hi Wayne. For me I would buy but as another poster said don't take advice on a bulletin board. Just for info I am still topping up buy on CINE but am tapering that off. Average purchase price 41p. I still think this has room for you but please research as well.
It may be there is a stock with a much bigger upside - I put a speculative 500 in virgin galactic at 14p last year. But then I did same with centamin so I'm clearly no expert!
Good luck and for me a tip is look at companies people will be desperate to use when we can, cinemas pubs restaurants all figure high for me as long as the company is solid.
