Mobile Streams PLC on Tuesday said it signed early adoption agreement with alternative marketplace for mobile applications Aptoide to integrate the cryptocurrency into its Mobilegaming service. The mobile content retailer runs Mobilegaming stores in Latin America and India with direct carrier billing. Under the deal, the companies intend to develop and spread the AppCoins cryptocurrency to deliver its users a trusted environment with new purchasing possibilities. It also aims to provide game developers a transparent and efficient way to monetise their content. "We are looking forward to working closely with Mobile Streams in 2018 adopting AppCoins cryptocurrency as a payment method while taking advantage of the benefits of blockchain technology," said Carolina Marcalo, head of partnerships at Aptoide. "We are very impressed with the product and strongly believe it will have a positive impact on our customers, especially in India and Argentina," added Mobile Streams Chief Executive Officer Simon Buckingham.
