That'll be me.
Easier to understand that way - for me anyway.
We are an exploration company with a lot of "interesting licences"
Some are very very interesting.
One in particular is also very interesting to a very large Australian company
So interesting that they have given us a lot of money to buy some of it and also help us see what is there at the same time - they are very kind.
We have drilled lots of very expensive and deep holes.
Quite a lot of these holes confirm why the big company is so interested in us. in fact quite a lot of holes are telling us to drill even more holes.
Luckily the big company also has the means to make the most out of what we get out of the holes and they are also in the position where they have some extra space at their place to help us with this too.
They are also interested in some other holes we are going to dig too.
All these holes getting dug I think means that some other big boys might not want to play with us so may well try and come up with a way to stop us digging these holes so quickly.
That's it in my simple nutshell and I didn't even quote any figures either
Here we go with your 3-6 posts '1 month old dodge account' you won't last long here, believe me.... Spreading FUD - fear uncertainty and doubt - over the bulk underground, becuase that's essentially the only unknown left that such disingenuous posts can target.
Last year we had months and months of tecnhical FUD with the GreenTool and others - who said Havieron would never be economic... but here we are 12 months later with a gigantic starter deposit, a $50m decline going in, and $50m GGP cash funding to DFS, and a published phase 1 mine PFS to take to the bank ... so NCM can get ore to Telfer ASAP.
You may be able to confuse and scare the un-researched with your manipulation, but you cannot touch Bamps or me.
For the rest of you MrBig is a skilled and devious operator who last night was attempting to exploit an ostensibly clever argument. The posts were subsequently removed this am. For the correct reasons.
What he/she was trying to do last night was apply NCM's conservative, underground stoping phase 1 mine operational costs @ $84/tonne - actually $81/tonne according to GGP using the correct exchange rate to Bulk Underground production.
The first Stoping operation has naturally has lower volumes, due to the inherent volume limitations of the Stoping technique and higher costs - ore transport to surface limitation, requirement for drill and blast / explosives, and extra material handling, and subsequence labour in back pasting costs )
But you cannot apply this to the anticipated Bulk under ground block caving grades of the larger scale deposit where the cost per tonne would be circa $25-27/tonne
This is a totally and fundamentally inappropriate comparison made by BiggL - It's like comparing two completely different company cost structures, AND specifically designed to imply that anything under 1.5g is likely to be 'uneconomic'...
And It's total BS becuase we ALL know that Cadia is economic down to 0.4g/t Au... specifically due the bulk efficiencies of the operational costs.
And very much like comparing and interweaving the cost structure of building Ferraris directly to Ford Fiestas -
IE both make massive profits, BUT in TOTALLY different ways . Obviously You cannot make a profit building Ford fiestas in the way you build a Ferrari though. That would be loss making.
That's the best analogy I can come up with. And that is the tactic of this poster. Always Happy to smash them into touch.
Expect Multiple shorter accounts with a very obvious agenda.s
Regarding bulk underground : The only question is will this be a block cave or a more selective sub level cave...? Anyone with mining nouse can see that.. The grade in those breccia are nothing short of sensational. And a mine in their own right.
I liken it to an overpriced cappucino - loads of froth and wasted space on the top - the best bit is the espresso hidden underneath - that's why I tend to avoid them and just go for the espresso - quality not quantity
I'll raise you with my 9 year old Galaxy
I hate cars - as long as it carries firewood and bikes that'll do me :-)
thanks to all responders - some interesting answers in there and some food for thought.
long long term, a proper track I guess would be way preferable as it would allow scale up/ramp up and could also be branched out to other operations.
from an engineering perspective - is laying a track across the geography of that region easier or harder than laying a proper road? i remember seeing something a while ago whereby for new railways, rather than the old ballast method, the tracks were laid onto precast concrete slabs that we slotted together and it speeded up the whole process.
that's the problem with a knowledgable BB - good answers create more questions :-)
Apologies if this has already been posted - 30m width for the roads seems pretty large.
a quick search online and a standard 6 lane UK motorway is around 27-30m in width.
is this 30m for the finished article or does it include large working margins either side so that in fact the finished road is significantly narrower?
thanks for the link - wasn't an article I had see before
what happened to some of the non execs afterwards - was there not at least one that was a fairly senior politician/MP/Lord
a few familiar faces there no doubt about that
disgraceful
To give him his dues, he didn't clarify who they were being paid too.
Still looking in from time to time - was in this from Richard Poulden days, Philwad and the ilk on iii.
whatever happened to LK hyman and some of the others? my god, in hindsight, those Fraser quotes make you seeth
A no from me too and made relatively easy through HL too.
A VLTH here - sold some recently but also have retained a reasonable holding just to see how this pans out - everything that can be said about this (sorry) state of affairs has been said - lets see how what happens.
one observation, there do seem to be a lot of postings that either increase or decrease proportionally/disproportionally from names that I haven't seen until recently. If you had a large external interest in this, would it not be wise to have someone on the ground so to speak to add some steerage to reaching your desired outcome
Have seen a few posters mention GGP - took the time to have a look over there, one name in particular I recognise has been posting today and I am truly hoping that the postings are satirical
What a sad end - I have been around this share way too long - the irony that in the end, maybe RP and CF weren't so different after all.
I have held through good and bad and whilst its been a fascinating project to follow from an engineering point of view I am saddened to get to where we are now.
I have shed the majority of the holding in my ISA and also SIPP - something I never thought I would do under these terms and although UK based, I am not local to the mine although I know the area well and just hope things work out for everyone involved (well maybe not quite everyone)
Someone mentioned it would be hard to drive past the mine everyday knowing what could have been and I think I share this sentiment and if I was local would probably have an even stronger opinion as I would have experienced the SXX PR machine working full throttle over the last few years.
R - who me ?
I know that - hence the reference to the FTSE being not a great deal better
AIM is reknown to be a joke - I sometimes wonder whether the FTSE is much better
Check out the TBM pictures from Germany - it's a monster - on the Sirius Instagram page

Very Interesting - great to get a mention and it was certainly staged and pre-prepared - totally didn't expect it with all the other goings on at the moment
As she starts to talk, TM glances over her left shoulder at someone behind - was this to quieten someone down or was it someone who has also perhaps been involved from the government ? or am I making something of nothing.
SS - there's a blast from the (iii) past
Thanks Scotman - Camp was one of the easier ones, tealady or no tealady ;-) hadn't sussed that VV was Sheffield though if I am reading your comment correctly.
GK :-) still GK
genuine question about LKH though - although cantankerous, is he still around these boards too?
Sadly not - not sure what happened to Phil.
I was just a bog standard user/reader. Had investment in SXX for what seems like half my life now, iniitally via the ample/iii platform but slowly have managed to semi successfully move them into SIPP and ISA and also add too.
my inital foray was luck more then anything - well hopefully luck - back when Richard P was running and sailing in an altogether different direction, talking of CO2 sequestriation (sic) and Dakota.
There used to be some great posters on iii, Secretsqu, SS and also some great bashers too - in fact one may have appeared here too I think of late.
what happened to LK? I must admit it was around his time that I started to give up reading iii and now it seems the site is virtually unusable.
from an investment point of view, my god, there have been some, lets say frustrations along the way, but the progress is now wholly tangible - the flypast videos are brilliant and I find it hard to believe how far things have come.
there is some great info on here now too and always enjoyable to read, although when threads meander maybe not so
