Boris, in his speech this morning, said he is very aware that many labour supporters have lent him their vote to get Brexit done. He will be very keen to keep these people on side and not lose them in the next election whenever that might be. I think the new Government will be resetting and looking at all areas where they have taken many seats from labour, such as the north-east, to see what can be done to support and transform these areas.
We are sitting here waiting and the fact that the issues we face have been highlighted broadly through the national media could give them a massive PR opportunity to support us and give many of those who lent their votes a very positive early boost and message in the area. I am sure they will take another good look at Sirius in this new climate and may decide to give us the guarantee we were after.
However, if they still won't do this, the fact is that this election result means we can move forward with Brexit and end much of the current uncertainty which has paralysed investment. The likely Boris bounce and general improvement in the investment climate of the UK should mean the chances of us successfully sorting the current financing issue without Govt. support must have improved immensely.
I won't buy any more at the moment as I have more than enough already (500,000 @ 15p) but I sense a corner has been turned and the outlook looks far more positive
Buys massively outweighing sells and the price still hardly moves. At least the lower price means I'll hit my target for total shares held when my SIPP money comes through next week. Lots of patience needed for this to come good but after 10 years I can wait a little longer
Sorry was not clear I signed up for Times article and posted ??
I just signed up not much more than u can see. First mile of tunnel completed though. Let's hope for some positive news on finance soon. Definitely panic selling last week. I am staying invested. Still think this will be sorted albeit expect some dilution good luck all LTHs. Full article follows. 'Work continued at Sirius Minerals’ Woodsmith mine in North Yorkshire yesterday, even as shares in the company fell to new lows amid fears over its future.
The FTSE 250 group so far has completed just over a mile of a planned 23-mile tunnel to take polyhalite deposits from its site near Whitby to Teesside for export as fertiliser.
Sirius shares fell sharply last week after the failure of its plan to raise the $3.8 billion needed to get the mine into production.
The group will slow work at the site near Whitby to save cash while it holds a strategic review. Its shares fell 22 per cent to close at less than 3p, the lowest since 2010.'
Still reeling from the news but will be holding (not accumulating any more for now) not worth me selling at these levels. Excuse my ignorance but will this review and rethinking of how to successfully finance stage 2 mean J P Morgan remain in play as before or is everything up for grabs.
Again need to add word 'share prophets' without the space where asterisks are. Obviously there is some sort of block on LSE that does not allow the name to be shown in usual way.
I think we may have a blue finish :)
Here is a link to TW interview that should work for most:
https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-*************-radio-show/id1473258115
Having listened to Elricos interview with SOH and now TWs very long interview with him on ************* Radio (sorry I could not sort link - actually best to listen via iTunes as u can forward to the relevant interview within the podcast) I'm feeling a lot more comfortable and confident. I have more of an understanding of how the numbers are likely to pan out. It's just not easy to get your head round but in the TW interview Tom gets to the point and all becomes a lot clearer for me anyway. Definitely much patience required still and accumulation where possible at these low prices :)
Sorry doesn't work :) Try again but you may have to write the words '*************' where the asterisks appear: https://www.*************.com/views/44491/free-podcast-*************-radio-edition-seven-with-tom-winnifrith-matt-earl-is-explosive

I could not buy during the last half hour - in auction the whole time I think
IC TIP UPDATES:
Shares in Sirius Minerals (SXX) are up 8 per cent this morning, after the prospective potash miner said it has received “a conditional proposal from a major global financial institution” to answer its $3bn stage two funding needs. The miner said the new proposal from an as-yet unnamed bank would completely replace the multi-tranche structure offered by prospective lenders, and offered greater flexibility to its requirements. As such, discussions with the previous funding group have been paused, in a bid to get an agreement by the end of April. It’s a little hard to know what to make of the news, though working on the basis that this is “a more attractive solution”, as Sirius suggests it is, we remain buyers.
For me the more positive tone could mean we have a ride beyond the recent price range of around 20p. We may even climb into the mid 20s and beyond especially as we move towards end of April. I am feeling more comfortable and confident than I was yesterday morning and certainly by the end of the day.
The RNS suggests that there is a massive global financial institution realising that this may be a massive opportunity to take part in something special. Maybe some of the other financial institutions will suddenly think they're going to miss out and be scrambling to get back to the table. I'm always glass half full - good luck all LTHs.
Seems to me that this announcement is potentially better than we assumed Stage 2 finance would provide so be interesting to see what happens to the share price this morning. Not quite sure why, given the wording, the price dropped so far, so quickly, yesterday. Surely a bounce this morning. Although some uncertainty remains seems to me this is fairly positive.
This appeared on 'Go figure' Facebook page yesterday with link to BBC article at the bottom. "An exciting news story from 2018 talked about the NHS potentially adopting meal replacements as an approach to reverse type 2 diabetes. Based on a pilots study success they are expanding the programme. Meaning there is a good chance this could be rolled out aross the country!
This shows exciting evidence to continue supporting the effectiveness of meal replacements in their ability to take on the obesity issues we are facing globally. However, what we see from so many people is that meal replacements simply don't make them feel full, or as if they have had no meal at all. This in turn makes it hard to sustain, and motivation falls flat.
