Very interesting day ahead indeed, should pave the way for future decisions and hopefully get a picture of things to come, I still believe we will get back to 13s before long. Government sentiment and statements will be considered but like most decisions by this government they will back track as per usual !

Most definitely are as I suggested yesterday there's only one way they can really go from here and that is to recommence cruising in some form from IMO this autumn. As far as I'm aware the Caribbean cruise season is looking highly likely.

The SP is certainly behaving like better news is due tomorrow or something may have leaked !

Introduction page mentions nothing about over 70s this is a generic all age government advisory as posted earlier to all ages in association with cruising.

This could jump hugely this afternoon pending the update tomorrow.

May not get another chance to get in at these lows subject to the update tomorrow.

The message from the government has not changed at all,
"The Foreign & Commonwealth Office advises against cruise ship travel at this time. This is due to the ongoing pandemic and is based on medical advice from Public Health England.
The government will continue to review its cruise ship travel advice based on the latest medical advice.
If you have future cruise travel plans, you should speak to your travel operator, or the travel company you booked with, for further advice.
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office continues to support the Department for Transport’s work with industry for the resumption of international cruise travel"

As with all travel it is under review all the time, our fleet P&O have announced no sail until the 15th October 2020 so the message from the Government is still the same.

It is just possible a good re-rate could be on the cards Tomorrow given the news Aida is resuming sailing in August of there phase 1 planned re-start we could see a lift today pre news etc tomorrow .

I agree price holding very well indeed given the update looming, I think it will be very positive indeed consolidation has started so only one way to go full steam ahead in part at least. I still think autumn they will sail and also I spoke to P&O this morning and was advised “very highly likely Caribbean season will go ahead”

I agree, Norwegian and royal Caribbean have today announced the re-start of there campaign and I would imagine carnival will follow suit, just been announced oceana from the P&O fleet has been sold so clearly consolidating taking place to clear the way for new rules etc forthcoming, IMO we will see 13s in the coming weeks there’s no way at all carnival will release negative news I think they will be cruising by autumn and most ports will be crying out for these floating cities to dock ! Economy has now taken over Pandemic !

One thing I have noticed is compared to other companies Carnival have fantastic PR skills and there news flow is very good indeed. Again compared to other companies I deal with very refreshing indeed. Changes are inevitable in this current climate but one thing I am quite certain of is they will be back cruising within 6 months with or with out further outbreaks of COVID.
The changes I have read about in terms of halfling numbers and changing the current buffet style is very good news indeed.

yes good point they have never been very forthcoming with the PR IMO, looking at other similar companies they seem to be doing quite well. I've been into this outfit for a few years and still have high hopes they will hit the jackpot.

Thought on the next 12 months with this outfit?

ditto very nice profit this morning. this will be volatile for a few weeks yet and IMO will reach recent highs after news flow. There's just no way they can let it tank too much , theirs too much in it to loose.

As advised nice movement this morning, fear it will dip over the next 48 hours but any good news Thursday could see this back up to 13ish

I think it will be very good news indeed, bars restaurants flights trains etc etc all open and getting busier only a matter of time before cruise ships sail river cruises already sailing !

River cruises in Europe open now and sailing now ironed cruises won’t be long till there back up and running social distancing in effect is over
