The south african variant or Brazil is likely to derail the vaccination effort. The government won't let it rip so likly more lockdowns. I would also think the government would learn its lesson and close all borders to reduce the risk of further variants entering which could be more deadly and derail the second vaccination effort. If a new vaccine and further lockdowns are needed what do you think the approach at the border will be?

i would sell all of those companies you mentioned especially BP and Tesla. But the fact of the matter is if you listened to WAM you would have saved money dont put the blame on him

Im just trying to help you out but you dont listen thats ok. Its a good company and i want to invest long term at the right price which reflects the situation we are in. Im saying some on here are miserable because they know whats coming i said nothing about anyone having a miserable existence, i know its just banter though lol. The Bulls on here are either miserable (because they know whats coming), having a pop at someone, or just in denial. If i was a long here i would almost be embarrassed to say anything and yet we still have some on here thinking 150 -160p next week, the audacity is mind boggling

So many in denial on here. Can someone tell me what happens if the vaccine does not work on the south Africa variant? This seems to be a very real possibility. From my point of view i see a new jab being designed, regulated, manufactured and jabbed into the entire population all over again, while we remain in lockdown. What happens if a new resistant virus mutation emerges in meantime. Something is not right. Boris and Chris Witty are on your tv screens to reassure the public and maintain the status quo, I can't see that continuing for much longer as we play more and more defensive against a virus running all over us. Someone has to make a very big decision soon or we could see an uprising. Hope this is not the case.

Yes thats another possibility if it turns out there are serious implications with taking the current vaccine there will be a huge sell off. There is just so much risk in this market should be a lot lower.

If this variant is resistant to the vaccine but the uk variant is not it may be a case that they both cancel each other out and so the cases, and therefore deaths do not decrease maybe stay the same, and lockdown is prolonged indefinitely .

It has already been proven in studies to evade the body's natural response. Its therefore reasonable to assume that the vaccine will not work or be as effective against it. Both of these scenarios mean longer lockdowns and a lower share price for iag. So much hate whenever you think things are going to go down.
