Sounds like they used their enforced downtime wisely to do maintenance. Largo only produce about 6.5% of the worlds production and 4 days of downtime is only 1/50th a year so I don't think that this is the cause of any increase of Vanadium prices.

knutsford - why do they do any of it - it is the game that market makers play to make money. The fact that they are buying and selling bits of a company that does this or that is of little interest to them - but the people they are playing against are the short term traders who equally have no interest in the fundamentals. The market makers will always win against those guys, even in the case of a vanishingly small spread, because it is the MMs that set the prices and determine their own availability to trade. Want shares at a low price ? Simply drop the price and wait for the mugs to come running. Want to make some easy money ? Sell high to newbie investors in the morning and walk the price down in the afternoon to pick up the shares you need. Simples.

SOTRR - yep great isn't it - those in the know can continue to acquire at fantastically low prices. I remember when BMN itself was sub 2p and I was able to take advantage of the incredible margin of safety that that price offered - that was before BMN had completed on the Vametco deal. This is even more derisked than that was then - after all Uis has been the largest hard rock tin mine in Africa in its time, and it may well become the largest again.

Sanchez - generally speaking I think Fortune is very much aware of having good comms but he rates good company development as even more important - thus I suspect that any apparent delays in perceived newsflow will be made up for with its importance when and value to shareholders, when it does arrive. Anyways Q2 results cannot be more than 6 weeks away, though really I am looking forward to see what happens with the Vanadium price in September and October as the chinese have to start buying up stock ahead of the new rebar regulations which come into force in November. According to Terry Perles this could increase chinese consumption by as much as 16,000 tpa - that is 20% of world demand and almost 5 times what we currently produce.

This will raise just under 7,000 pounds for the company - roughly the same as Vametco makes in profit every 30 minutes.

The plans afoot for round 5 of SA's Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer program (REIPP) could increase RE by 80% in one fell swoop (potentially adding 1.8GW to the existing 2.3GW procured under rounds 1-4).
