it was going to be a lot more mental today.

64 trades in the first 13 minutes - that's more than we have had on some days - even in the last two months

yep can't even buy a hundred quids worth - they are trying to put off the day traders

bassguy - they would be insane to be still holding a short

sometimes they do it during the day - spike the price up get people to buy at high prices then move it back down to accumulate what they need

but at the moment they are too scared to even try that

BMNfan - Vanadium in air conditioners ? I can imagine Dysprosium, Neodymium or Gadolinium but I cannot imagine how Vanadium would be used there.

There is clear evidence of a background buyer plus once the price started moving a lot of people came off the fence - however there is no evidence that the early doors buying was sufficiently powerful to dominate the day's trading dynamics, as it has done when we have had the occasional visits from the day trading community.

For example the price was actually able to fall today after the initial spike on opening the doors for business - typically when there is sufficient Day trading pressure the MMs give up trying to control the price at about 8:20am and simply allow the price to ramp up quickly so that they have the chance to buy the shares more cheaply later on.

Today they dare not even hope that they will be able to buy the shares more cheaply later on - they know that this is going up up and away - now combine this with the additional day trading buying pressure that may arrive if the DT guys are on the ball and you have a pretty explosive combination.

Endion - well I have a spreadsheet at the moment that is just on the limit. Though it is only there because I keep all of the days in the month in the same SS - haha ! In terms of actually resolving the accumulation-distribution line properly I could probably do 50% more.
