The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
The interim results published today are outstanding and the market has responded accordingly boosted by the news.Favourable market conditions have under pinned the motor sector of late but these numbers show Vertu are ahead of the game in squeezing every penny profit out of both the vehicle sales and repair business.Land Rover is now on board and Vertu's portfolio is strengthened by this and there will be more to come undoubtedly in the future in my opinion.SP up 13% so far today, well that has put a smile on my face on this wet and windy October day! DYOR this is a solid company with a strong balance sheet in my opinion worth every penny of the SP.
Good volume going through today with what looks like a large buy of 1,385,160 shares. With predicted revenues up for Vertu by 30% for the half year and pretax profits forecast at £8.2m this could be a bumper year for Vertu in "favourable market conditions" as stated by Chief Executive Robert Forrester.
I personally can't wait for the trading statement mid October for Vertu as there has been good news stories coming out of other dealer groups regarding substantive new vehicle sales growth in September. Vertu are sure to post their own good news story on the 16th in my opinion!
As previously stated I think Goldstone has been undervalued of late and I am pleased to see the stock rising again today against the general trend in the sector today.Glad I kept the faith and believe there is a lot more value here still,al in my own humble opinion of course DYOR and I think you will agree
More good news coming through from Vertu as per September Trading Update.UK Motor sector recovery continues with Manufacturers looking to the UK ahead of other ailing European markets so future looks good for growing Vertu group in my opinion.
Still no positive reaction to reasonable news as always seems to be the case with Goldstone, maybe one day the market will react a little more positively at what looks in my opinion to be an undervalued stock.Only my humble opinon of course.
I agree LittleBrum that the Market just does not see the value here irrespective of the news that gets released. The placing provides funds for further work and exploration which should reap dividends but Goldstone's price does not look like recovering at the moment although I am still convinced it will rally at some point in the future. Not one for short term gain it appears in my opinion.
Well run company in my opinion led by Robert Forrester applying solid business principles in everything he does. This Company will continue to take opportunities to expand where practical and should prove a worthwhile proposition in the long term.Manufacturers seem to want Vertu as a partner which is of paramount importance in the car market.Definate BUY in my humble opinion.
