Morning Italian, PureG.
Thanks again for the info. Interesting the bit about a possible cash payment in lieu of tokens.
The original Napster (streaming0 still underpins all this. As a private company they don't have to give us any figures - so they don't. All the same I might dig and see what I can find.
Of course, the original idea at de-listing was NASDAQ (although no promises). And while Jon V has not been in favour of amassing loads more shareholders, it might clear some clouds and provide an exit for some of us LTHs.
.
Likewise with ii, Italian. But it seems the ball is with Napster rather than the brokers
Pure G, you don't have to tell us how many tokens you have, but as a matter of interest how many did it work out per share?
I received a similar email last May from ii.
Napster PLC effectively came to an end a year previously when we were paid our first instalment.
Napster Inc continues to appear on the brokers' account although there is no currency value.
The brokers themselves can only pass on info which they themselves get. The only certain thing is that their respective platforms cannot support tokens. So we continue to wait on Napster - or Algorand.
Afternoon Italian and PureG
Did HL give any particular reason for this PureG, as far as you know?
I admit I haven't had a go at it myself. (a) I might end up deleting everything, and (b) Algo/Naps have played fair with us re the cash segments so I have every confidence they will see this through. It may have taken a little longer than we originally thought, but then these things always do.
Morning Italian and PureG. and thanks for your trouble.
But I may be stuck on first base here. Does our holding with our respective brokers, for which we have already received cash payments, not constitute proof?
Is there any significance PureG as far as you are aware, in the term 'PeraWallet'? All that comes to mind with me is the tennis player Bernarda Pera.
Mine has arrived as well. Already converted into sterling by the looks.
I gave them a bit of a nudge at the week-end by way of a secure message. I don't know if that did the trick. (Do I get a bonus??).
Yeah, well done italian.
Time for me to contact ii on Monday, I think. Once they were at the forefront. Now they are behind everyone else.
Thanks Glennstar. I guess that's something although progress is being made at random.
I'm no further with ii than you are with HL, Italian.
I've been unwilling to 'nag' at them before, as they were on top of everything to begin with.
But I do pay them a monthly fee, which keeps the account open, but not much else.
That said, it's likely they can only do things when they get told. Everything is being done piecemeal even before we get to the tokens
Thanks PensionD. I guess that takes us slightly closer.
I've not had anything similar from ii though, Which suggests progress is a bit haphazard.
Looks like those of us with brokers will be dealt with last, Italian. It's probably more complicated.
But if you download the Whitepaper (March 2023) from 'Napster.Foundation' there is a pie chart showing the distribution.
We would appear to be the 'Legacy Stakeholders 7%'.
There were 4.6m shares post consolidation. Not sure what that might have eventually have been.
The new shares after consolidation were rounded down to the nearest whole number.
So PureG's original number of 129 tokens per share looks to be in the ball park.
Yeah, likewise.
But ii said from the start that the tokens couldn't be used on their platform.
Presumably we will now be treated the same as the paper holders that PureG mentioned yesterday.
Thanks for the post PureG. Hope you are keeping well.
I don't think there is any lack of will on the part of Algorand/Napster to move things on. It is in their interest more than anyone's.
Inevitably it was always going to take longer than we would like. Patience is a virtue.........
Morning Italian.
The lady interviewers seemed to show more interest than the Algofest ones a couple of months back.
But overall this was just a 10-minute abbreviated version of that and Jon V was here for appearances.
We await a launch date !
Like the launch date Italian. I think it's what we're waiting for now..
Well found though. Let's hear what he has to say tomorrow. He's certainly always positive..
Once again thanks for your input PureG, Italian.
I would expect to hear from ii next week, then. They said last May they were looking into options re the tokens as they were not likely to be tradeable on their platform. So probably any message from them will only be to say that, which always was the most likely outcome all along.
So AM is still around then. Actually I find that reassuring and his involvement not that surprising .
Presumably he - and others e, g, SH and N & G- are still shareholders. So their financial interests are similar to ours. Greater in fact. In that sense this is no different to the days of EVR/Melody.
Hi Italian. Depending on what reply you get from srs acquiom. I might try emailing Algorand direct. They MUST know where we're at.
PureG, that is an interesting figure. It might just be backfitting but shareholders were due to receive 7% of the allocation of 10 billion tokens i.e. 700 million. The transaction you mention is pretty near that.
Kabaa may have a point I can't recall a date being mentioned but the first tranche was paid in May, so this could be open to various interpretations.
Nothing from ii either Italian.
And Napster Ventures is still 'on hold' so the integrated app development is obviously taking its time.
(From our experience it's what new apps seem to do.)
Hi PureG
I posted on here on 19 May last on info I'd just received from ii at the time. It was almost verbatim (I put 2.5m instead of 25m, which i later corrected).
They in turn would have received this info from SRS Acquium, so the latter would be aware of their (ii's) involvement. Therefore as I see it, it is incumbent on them to keep ii informed of all developments, including details of launch when they know it, and any proposals they might have regarding any alternative options.
I would say I found ii very helpful and efficient at the time of de-listing . Info and the initial payment were dealt with promptly without me having to ask. I feel certain thatthis will continue and as soon as they know anything further they will let me know.
Hi Italian. Hope you are keeping well.
So it looks like the story goes on. I first invested in August 2017 in EVR and I daresay you've been in this even longer.
PureG
Re your last paragraph I would not see much problem with any electronic payment. Wouldn't any transaction be like a currency exchange, done at the prevailing price?
But Napster gift cards at Tesco etc. Fantastic! But would need some pre-preparation.
So maybe Jon V is already all over this. Great for us if he is !!
Once again, thanks for all your input.
