I was always told from a very early age at school that you should work to provide for your family.
You shouldn't get taxed on what you can leave for your children because it is a certain amount. You have already paid your taxes throughout life. Well those that have worked anyway.
It is a double tax that should be abolished as far as i am concerned.
Likewise in share dealing. You have already paid your taxes. They don't give you a rebate when you lose a load of money do they.

It is the fact that 1 buy is more than the sells on its own Silver. Seems wrong to me

I worked for Birmingham City Council for 17 years and the department budget waste was horrendous. Especially jan - feb so they didn't lose any budget money.
The NHS is even worse, especially when the top jobs get millions in bonuses which is a disgrace in itself but those people couldn't run a P up in a brewery. Just think how many extra nurses we could have with that money.
