Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
For people who don't know Brooko19 this is what he posted on 21st Dec last year:
"RE: CT.......21 Dec 2023 15:38
Couldn’t agree more, I believe it was obvious that a deal wouldn’t be till Jan/Feb so if people want to sell now they’ll be regretting it in the new year. Presenting a great opportunity for people to take advantage of the drop GLA"
This was his view when the sp was 68p, it had dropped from 81p three days earlier. Since then it has continued to drop mainly due to further phase 2 trials required. He continues to ridicule me because I sold here at a higher price. I have explained my reasons but his reasoning doesn't stand up to scrutiny as he is well under water here. I bought into Hemo because of the Cart-t trials, I knew that a raise was going to happen so went in with eyes wide open. Brooko19 is trying to justify his holding here and his loss by criticising me at every opportunity. I have also explained why I sold here and when better news comes round I will buy back. Unfortunately at the moment this share is a gamble re the fast falling sp, never get attached to a share no matter how much you have invested. Obviously my reasoning fell on deaf ears to Brooko19, he will still keep criticising me no matter what. C4XD today announced a decision to go private, Dest could go down that route. Sajy has posted a rumour earlier, that is just a post to gain traction, it's simply not true, if you fall for that then you must be crackers.
The next update with results will tell us more here, I fully expect a raise will be forthcoming.
Talk of the Devil and he appears, you must be following me Brooko to know when I post as you haven't posted since as couple of weeks ago. I'm happy with my buy at Hemo as Cart-T trials are about to start. Yes they needed a raise and the price dropped but am more confident there than here when I sold as look at Dest's sp now! It's going to be a longer game here and they'll need to fund raise before Sept. I have said I'll be back here when better news happens. As yet CT hasn't managed to secure a deal so I guess people are selling because of that, money is in short supply. My guess is that a raise will come soon and only those in the know will find out the day.
Are you still happy to hold Brooko as you said the fundamentals are sound? I dare to suggest that something is going on which the small pi's are not privileged to.
"Finally, my attention has been drawn to Thruvision (THRU on AIM). It has developed and now installed machinery which assesses whether employees of (say) Amazon are seeking to steal their employer’s goods. The shares stand at about 20p and are fully supported by cash. THRU is a very low-capitalised company.
However, it seems that the US border force will adopt this kit and, if so, regardless of who wins the US presidential election, THRU could harvest a bonanza. There does not seem to be much downside and the upside could be sensational"
It's not just menopausal women who lack vitamins, I regularly take it in the autumn/winter months as sunlight is lacking. I love chocolate but I eat the right chocolate, at least 50% cocoa solids, preferably 70%. Any of this Cadbury/Thornton rubbish is awful! favourite atm is Sainsbury's 55% Peruvian dark.
Getting back to these self tests, I would never buy one myself and I am in my 60's. I have a good rapport where I live in Hampshire with the doctors and hospital at Guildford so any problems with health and it gets sorted quickly. I appreciate many others are not so lucky. Perhaps if National Insurance was stopped and we all had to put money aside to pay for a doctor then things would improve with waiting lists etc.
I know the situation in France is so much better, no NI contributions, you just pay into a plan every month and when you need a doctor you get an appointment the same day, much better system.🙂🤘
MHC already have their Vit D test in Boots since last year. The way the posters are commentating over there you would think their Vit D test is the golden egg. I have already said that there are 2 Vit d tests in Boots already (inc here) so another will just be adding to the already large market. If you put in Self rapid test Vit D into Google you will find a lot more of the same.
Don't forget that Boots already have 2 other Vit D self tests in store on the shelf both priced at £7.99, one is from Myhealthchecked (which is also on the stock market) so you're competing, if the price is higher which one will you choose as they all do the same thing...and this is on both the other tests:
"If your test result indicates a risk of Vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency, seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before starting any treatment, which may include Vitamin D supplements"
So in hindsight you'll still need to see a doctor 🤣
Well the scenario goes like this.......
You wake up one morning felling extra tired even though you've had a good night's sleep, it continues for a further three nights and during the day as well. At the end of the week you think you have a problem so you phone the doctor, he decides you might be short of vit d or iron so he advised you to come in for a blood test to find out.
Or......you decide for yourself that you are short of vit d or iron because of extra tiredness, not 100% sure but you're in Boots and you see a self test and decide to buy. If you're not deficient you've wasted your hard earned, then your mate tells you that the doc would have done that for free!
So.....which scenario makes sense? Use your common sense here!......and yes Saintsmith last month my other half had these symptoms, she got an appointment for a blood test 2 days later and was diagnosed the following day. So in answer to your comment, it doesn't take weeks or months for a doc's appointment, you're just guessing at things you don't know!

As for kicking g the can down the road this was said back in 2020😂
“The time needed for the Tally banking platform to be rebuilt invariably has a knock on effect, however if by the end of 2020, it is not yet deemed appropriate for Tally to commence IPO preparations then the company shall endeavour to provide current shareholders with some form of a secondary private market for buying or selling Tally shares, to satisfy the appetite for existing shareholders wishing to divest or increase their shareholding,” the company said.
I was in the city this morning at my old firm talking about a lot of stuff, one of me old mates badgered me to get into Tally if I could as the IPO is definitely happening. I had to laugh as I said I've been in Tally (Lionsgold) for nearly 8 years now and in reality have written it off! I asked where he got his info from, he said from a hedge fund buddy, as well as I admired him when I worked with him not sure whether to believe what he said or not but I'm not holding my breath. According to CP IPO is supposed to be happening as of this month but inevitably more kicking of the can will happen I expect.
