Can anyone enlighten as to why we would not have had a RNS to advise of the new patent, considering they went to the lengths of releasing one to advise the application had been made and it's potential for increasing revenue.?
"The Company estimates that a $600 million per annum addressable market exists for potential Itaconix products based on this new technology."
Is there reason that they trying/happy to keep the SP at this level in the short term?
Thought they would be crowing about this news?

Hi Thordon
RNS Feb 2021
Patent now granted as per previous post (more good news)
Itaconix (AIM: ITX) (OTCQB: ITXXF), a leading innovator in plant-based specialty polymers used as essential ingredients in everyday consumer products, is pleased to announce that the Company is extending the Itaconix technology platform into potential uses in composite materials and has filed a new patent to protect innovative intellectual property for expected applications in this new area.
The extension of the Itaconix technology platform is part of the Company's efforts to engage with potential customers to identify sizable unmet needs that Itaconix can address with plant-based solutions.
Market and materials research led by Dr Yvon Durant, Itaconix's CTO, has created a path to making certain composite materials that may allow a safer process to produce products that also have higher plant-based content. If granted, the patent will protect a new family of intellectual property for Itaconix. The review process for the filing is expected to take at least two years, and there is no guarantee that the patent will be granted.
Product research based on this patent filing will now enter the next stage of commercial development. Key milestones for 2022 are to complete initial environmental and safety studies and to engage in commercial discussions with market collaborators. Potential revenues are not expected until at least 2024, which is a normal timeframe for new product development.
The Company estimates that a $600 million per annum addressable market exists for potential Itaconix products based on this new technology.
John R. Shaw, CEO of Itaconix, said:
"Although the usual steps remain to advance a new product to market, we are very excited that our plant-based solutions have the potential to address major unmet customer needs. This patent filing marks a significant milestone in our efforts to deliver safety and sustainability to new categories of consumer products."

Hi Smart
I guess that the impact on ITX revenues will be minimal as regards this as only a small percentage of our income at the moment comes from the UK?
The exchange rates Euro/Pound continues hold up and is favourable as regards US Exports, if contracts are set up in these currencies.
I guess we will know what the plans are in the not too distant future, but would not surprise me if we move to a dual listing.
Hopefully this last raise has the desired effect of getting a hold on inflation, but I have the feeling that they have the habit of charging at it like a bull and not giving the time needed for previous raises to take effect and will end up causing a recession, which is not good for anyone.
Interesting times ahead (no pun intended)

Hi Spin
Is it not a case of the circumstance under which the consolidation is taking place (not to get us out of a hole)?
I guess that the Institutional Investors would have been privy to the intention to do this prior to throwing £10.5 into the pot?
The consensus is that they are looking for a Nasdaq listing, but quite a few hoops to jump through to achieve this, is there not alternatives to the Nasdaq that would satisfy the American PI's ?
Would this also possibly make us more appealing to green ESG funds not being a penny stock?
Guess there are two sides to everything, with John/Laura in particular having a sizeable holding in ITX would have thought that they would not be looking to damage their own interests and therefore see this as a positive move?
Personally I feel that we are going to get another hugely positive TU in the next 3/4 weeks, but time will tell eh

Google search "sodium polyitaconate" there are pages of them, below is a small sample of some of the ones I have not seen before.

Hi Dunk B
From the last presentation/proactive interview it was indicated that the VELAFRESH® SAP80 was currently available in its basic form, mainly being used in more industrial applications with the formula that will be being utilised in the diapers, feminine /male hygiene etc still currently being tweaked/refined to make it the best green super absorbent available on the market, they alluded to revenues starting to ramp up in 2024 in this area.

Hi DB
Totally agree the 35% they are trying to achieve should only be a starting point, guess you have to be in a position of strength, with ITX ingredients having a wider adoption by the big players, although in the last interview with proactive investors he did state that the £10.5 mill would allow then to pursue the bigger accounts 3minutes 54 second into the interview
Https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/1017224/itaconix-shooting-to-be-a-much-larger-company-1017224.html
The Trading update will demonstrate where we are heading, looking for something in excess of $4mill minimum for the first half
What are the thoughts on the 50 to 1 consolidation? Good/Bad ?
As an aside Thordon, please keep up the excellent research, from little acorns oak trees grow and not always good to have all your eggs on one big basket.

Excellent spot T
Well worth a watch, so much better presentation than yesterday.
John Shaw talks to Thomas Warner from Proactive London after releasing final results for calendar year 2022.
He discusses the recent performance of the business before looking to the future, saying that Itaconix will "continue to grow and reach profitability in the coming years... and we have the resources to shoot to be a much larger company."

Thanks R
Excellent on the Octopus AIM VCT update love the comment
"The company raised a total of £10.5 million in a heavily OVER-SUBSCRIBED SHARE PLACING, which will be used to support a range of growth initiatives, including the development of new products and applications for its technology."
See Supernumerary was questioning the quantities of raw material on the ADFN, please pass him on the following link and he can peruse for himself https://www.importgenius.com/search/Itaconix.
As I said yesterday John is not going to come out and admit to such on a live presentation, but why else would they need third party storage close by, never needed that before, I stand by the circa 200 Metric Tonnes over the last 10/12 month. sure it will all become clear soon, hopefully in July.

Quiet on here today !!
These are some of the things I took away from yesterday
What is the general feeling?
From presentation 06th June 2023
Current addressable market $2.3 billion
New innovations
Added early version of SAP which is in an extended development cycle (revenues 2024)
Advanced Composites, new chemistries being added over the next 12 months)
New Hair care technologies added into product the pipeline
Moving us into a $20 billion addressable market
Turnover last year $5.6 mill which was an upgrade from initial target of $4.7 mill
Current target for 2023 $8.0 currently on target (so we should be looking for around $4.5 mill in July update I would have thought)
£10.7 mill raise this year puts us in a very secure position going forward and for entering our “New Stage of Development”
AGM 28th June 2023 where one of the proposals will be a 50 to 1 consolidation on shares meaning SP will approximately rise to £2.50 per share with only circa 13.5 million shares being in circulation, that should make shares even tighter?
Gross profit margin improving, target 35%
New staffing secured to cope with demand
Improvements on production facilities implemented, with current facility running at circa 25%, there is no need for additional capex currently in this area
Initiation of Market and Product research and initiation of Digital Marketing
John and Laura very excited about the future, “as we are in a better position than we have ever been in.”
Think that there was a few things that could not be said yesterday due to information not having been released yet, but will hopefully be made clearer in the July Trading Update, not too long for that.
A criticism would be that there is no preparation done on questions submitted prior to the presentation, a considered response could have been formulated to each in advance and made the Q&A a lot slicker and professional?

Hi all
What are the thoughts on the AGM vote on the 50 to 1 consolidation?
This being put in place to have a NASDAQ listing?
See they kind of body swerved the question on the amount of Raw materials they have been purchasing, but was kind of confirmed by the fact that they need to have offsite storage for the quantities they are buying.
All in all I felt it was a very good presentation, given in typical John fashion, it is what it is and he knows his stuff.
Will need to listen to it all again as have probably missed something.
Think there may be a few surprises up his sleeve for the July Trading Update (confirmed today, guessing by what he said as the 13th or 20th)

Hi JD
This is par for the course, short term gamblers trying to flip and make a quick 1%
Not for me, as this is a long term hold, I know that is is frustrating at times, but feel that in the long run I have made the correct decision to hold and not try and play the share, never really works in my opinion.
As for todays presentation, I hope that you are correct and there are a few nuggets of gold that we can take away from this, but for me I am more focused on the 12th of July as this is when I would anticipate when we will get a TU, now based on what we have researched, that in my opinion is when we should see where the increased inventories, additional manpower etc etc have been deployed and that is when we should see the SP start to motor.

Just a thought
With the broker note that came out today and the unchanged target of 12p
Does that now mean with the increased amount of share that are in circulation that they now value ITX at circa £81million.
So therefore technically an upgrade?
