RE: Patent - No opposition filed within time limit28 Dec 2025 09:44
Hi Krone,
This is a meaningful milestone, but not a transformative one on its own.
Clearing the EPO opposition window is a real risk gate, particularly in a competitive area like kinase inhibitors. It moves the patent from something that is still relatively fragile to something that is reasonably solid, by removing the risk of a central EPO challenge at an early stage.
This also helps from a partnering and licensing perspective. With the opposition period closed, there is less legal uncertainty to discount, which modestly improves negotiating posture and credibility with potential partners.
That said, this should be seen as a de-risking step rather than a value inflection point. It doesn’t validate the science, the clinical potential, or long-term competitiveness. Those will still be driven by follow-on patents, data, and differentiation in the TYK2 landscape.
In short, it strengthens the foundations, but it’s not yet a story-changing event.
